    From the article:

Republicans have ramped up talk of President Donald Trump running for a third term.

In an interview on NewsNation’s *Batya!*, Steve Bannon, a Trump ally who was a senior adviser to him during his first administration, repeated his claim that there are “many different alternatives” that would allow the president to serve again.

It comes after Representative Randy Fine, a Florida Republican, called for the repeal of the 22nd Amendment to allow Trump to run for president once more.

  2. He’s ruining the country. Republicans Congress members are now facing angry Republican constituents and are in danger of losing their seats. And they want more?

  3. He just has to file to run, get sued, fast-track the case to SCOTUS, and let John Roberts do the rest. He’s all set.

  4. So if the sick old man doesn’t die before then, what are we going to do? General slack where we do as little work as possible? Occupy buildings? I am against political violence but we also can’t shrug our shoulders, and response to him even running has to be collective and gigantic.

  5. IMO, the talk isn’t organic. It’s being ramped up as “proof” that there’s nothing wrong with Trump’s health.

So you want from Trump what you desperately sought to avoid from Biden, which was an old, broadly senile man running the country?

Meanwhile in self-delusion land, we have so-called moderates “Guys! Guys! It’ll be okay. We can just let the courts settle it afterward, right ? No need to panic.”

Is there any scenario in which they repeal the 22nd Amendment and Obama instantly announces he’s running?

  9. As sad as it is, Republicans want Trump. They might say a few nice things about JD and praise his book. But if it were JD or Trump in 2028? I’d imagine Trump would be their first choice by a country mile.

And Trump is definitely working behind the scenes to have multiple plan B’s in place to run again or outright remain president. He’s teased ideas like:

    * if there’s a national crisis, he should stay president to “protect the country”

    * he was “cheated” out of 2020 and deserves another term to make up for it

    * he’s outright said serving more than two terms is something that should be looked into

    * and he’s been selling Trump 2028 merch pretty much since the day he took office in January

Trump is absolutely going to try to run again or stay in office. And he has way more time to prepare this time. Even Trump testing his boundaries of the national Guard is a likely testing ground to where he can say “radical leftists” are destroying the country and he has to remain in office as it’s a national emergency/crisis.

Stop letting people normalize this. Call it out. Anyone who supports it is un-American.

  11. I don’t wanna see any indie election abstainer in 2028 protesting Trump‘s dictatorship after helping him win in 2024.

  12. The republicans need him in 2028 cuz they’re all gonna go to jail once he’s gone for good

  13. Same progression as always:

Liberals: He’s planning on doing something illegal…
Conservatives: No He’s not he hasn’t said anything about that!

    Then:
Conservatives: He was just joking when he said he’s going to do that!

    Then:
Conservatives: SOME people in the party support that but it’s not really going to happen.

    Then:
Conservatives: Hell yeah he’s going to do it! That was the plan the whole time! Suck it liberals!

  14. Bro ain’t gonna be alive that long.

He’s talking about heaven, making fewer public appearances, looks like absolute shit, and has one of the least healthy lifestyles.

He talks more slowly, has more gaffes, is clearly declining cognitively.

2028 is just not gonna happen, don’t let it rile you up.

  15. People citing his age and health issues don’t seem to realize that none of those things matter to the maga voters. They’d gladly vote for him again if he was in a total unresponsive veg state on life support. They’re that deranged and delusional.
