  1. From the article:

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy claimed Monday that the upcoming “No Kings Day” protests are “part of” the antifascist movement known as antifa.

“The ‘No Kings’ protest, Maria, really frustrating. I mean, this is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question, who’s funding it? But, yeah, Democrats want to wait for a big rally of a ‘No Kings’ protest when the bottom line is, who’s running the show in the Senate?” Duffy told Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria.”

So…. that means he’s part of the “fa” part in antifa then right?

  2. I’m pretty sure everyone protesting on Saturday are against fascism, but I am sure that’s not what he’s inferring.

  3. As I’ve said before, very worrying to say this since antifa is now considered domestic terrorism. They’re setting up grounds to detain everyone who protests.

Has there been any actual evidence that any of the people demonstrating at No Kings are paid?

    Serious question. Because I haven’t.

To clarify to keep this question on target; I know both parties (although I certainly see it used more on one side…. GOP) use paid crowd fillers for things. I’m not talking about that. I mean specifically No Kings and/or similar organized demonstrations.

Duffy raped little kids with Trump. Prove me wrong. It’s my deeply held religious belief.

  6. It strikes me as odd that Trump and his sycophants are labeling these No Kings marches as “anti-American”.

Correct me if I’m wrong…but wasn’t that the *exact* principle that America was founded on in the first place? That there should never be a king, and to establish a democracy by the people, and for the people?

Sounds like these republicans are kinda just givin’ the game away, if you ask me.

Yes, they are millions of Americans coming together against a Fascist regime headed by Trump… they are anti-Fascists or anti-fa, if you will. Every American that values freedom & Democracy should be antifa…

  8. They keep trying to make anti-fascism sound like a bad thing. The administration couldn’t have picked a better group to harp on. It really cements how much the conservatives are the baddies.

  9. I wonder if these Trump regime stooges realize the consequences of drawing a line between us and them? We are all on one side or the other now. No one gets to fence-sit. Those opposing the regime aren’t going to shy away from the Antifa label, we’re going to lean into it. It’s already happening.

Lol and who exactly is supposed to be funding these millions of protestors? And for what? And please don’t say George Soros. Please *bangs head into wall.* You’d think if some billionaire was funding a left-wing terrorist organization they’d arm these millions and overthrow the government. So far a rag tag group of mostly batshit crazy maga people did way more on Jan 6, and for free (I think), than the nefarious and apparently well-funded Antifa.

  11. Sean Duffy was a lumberjack who went on MTV’s The Real World and showed everyone that he was an asshole even then, went to law school, and worked for his daddy for approximately two minutes before getting placed into government positions with minimal qualifications. His opinion on Antifa is almost as valid as his opinion on transportation.

  12. Duffy is part of a billionaire funded fascist takeover of the US. Every accusation is a confession. Every single time.

  13. Of course he does. Everything they don’t like is Antifa. It’s replaced woke as their boogyman word.

  14. This is exactly why the GOP wants to focus on Antifa. If the enemy is a group thay doesn’t exist: no one can prove they don’t belong to it. So you can accuse anyone, arrest anyone and thus claim victory, but always claim that despite your incredible success against the enemy; they’re still out there and you need more power in order to stop them. Distract your base from real problems by giving them a Neverending fake problem. Control your allies and suppress your enemies.

  15. Obviously he never saw the last “no kings” protest it was a bunch of little old ladies hold signs

    > “Chuck Schumer is not running the show, the No Kings protesters or organizers are running the show. Is AOC threatening a primary against Chuck Schumer? Is she running the show?” he added.

    He sounds absolutely batshit crazy.

Yes. Yes they are. They don’t want a king. In other words a fascist. So therefore they are ANTIFA. This is just a way to further demonize any dissent. Which, huh, coincidentally is something that fascists do.

  18. Why on earth is the Secretary of Transportation chiming in on this?!? He’s not only objectively wrong, but way out of his lane.

  19. This is so sad that people have no idea what antifa is. They don’t even realize that we fought a world war over all of this.

  20. If the enemy is antifa (which isn’t an organization btw), then you are fascist. It’s isn’t that hard.

  21. so if No Kings & Antifa are against the government, are they admitting the government is ruled by a fascist king?

  22. That’s correct, No Kings is a march against… *checks notes*, ANTI (against) FA (short for fascism).

    For the idiots:

Fascism (not facism) is a far-right authoritarian ideology that emphasizes:

    – Dictatorial power — one leader or party controls everything
    – Nationalism — extreme pride in one’s nation, often tied to exclusion of others
    – Suppression of opposition — no tolerance for dissent or free speech
    – Control of society — the government directs the economy, culture, and even private life

It originated in Italy under Benito Mussolini in the early 20th century and later influenced regimes like Nazi Germany.

  23. There is so much colossal stupid and overt lying right now it’s exhausting. Fuck these people for continuing to inflict so much ridiculous traumatic idiocy on us. It’s not going to work, and you can bet we will hold you accountable

  24. Hypothesising_Null on

There it is. Declare the nebulous concept of “Antifa” a “terrorist organization” and then start calling all protests and resistance “Antifa” to legitimize violent response.

Authoritarianism 101 here. Define a broad boogeyman and then use it to club your enemies.

This is just the test. Soon ALL Repiblicans and their media will be pushing this narrative.
