JD Vance tries to downplay leak of disgusting Young Republican chats: For the vice president to suggest it’s “pearl clutching” to condemn those who were part of a racist group chat says a great deal about his judgment.

  1. Meanwhile, if *one* Democrat *somewhere* said something bad *several years ago* and is not immediately cast out and denounced by the entire Democratic Party, this means *all* Democrats *everywhere* endorse that bad thing that was said.

*That is how it works, right?*

We already know his judgement was trash. What it says is that he too has taken part of chats like this before.

Vivek got a glimpse of the long knives when he spoke at the TPUSA event. JD’s wife isn’t Christian and his benefactor is a gay immigrant. Ivanka, Jared and Miller are Jewish. Trump’s mother and wife are immigrants. They could lose control of the Christian nationalist cult they created. There is no bargaining with zealots.

  4. Yeah, cause Vance agrees with the chats. They’ll keep calling the Democrats the “real racists” until it’s time to actually come out with the nazi endgame

  5. The same administration who just admitted that shooting a priest doesn’t cross the line for them.

Same group who protects pe dos.

Not sure if anyone else did, but I should have posted this from the article:

    >In Virginia, a former state lawmaker named Jay Jones is the Democratic nominee for state attorney general this year, and he recently found himself at the center of a major scandal after the public learned of violent texts he sent in 2022.

    >Referencing Jones’ texts, the vice president [wrote via social media](https://x.com/JDVance/status/1978235740833153196), “This is far worse than anything said in a college group chat, and the guy who said it could become the AG of Virginia. I refuse to join the pearl clutching when powerful people call for political violence.”

    >In other words, confronted with Republican texts that were racist and violent — complete with references to gas chambers — Vance’s first instinct wasn’t to condemn those responsible for those messages; his first instinct was to downplay the scandal and go after a Democrat.

  8. Did we all not JUST VERY RECENTLY go through the whole Charlie Kirk debacle where anyone who had anything less than kind to say was attacked

  9. these are the same people who wanted folks fired for not saying things about a dead white nationalist?

  10. Says the guy who has been pushing to get people fired for saying anything negative about Charlie Kirk.

I’m so tired of the double standards and hypocrisy

  11. Pearl clutching…feok the same group that lost their minds if someone didn’t mourn Charlie Kirk like Jesus just died again

  12. There’s no other angle Vance can afford to take on this, because his personal political strategy is to appeal specifically to people like this. He is totally attuned to the 4chan-birthed online right strand of the GOP.

He is counting on them to be his core supporters for a 2032 presidential run.
