So Trump cannot flaunt his macho body anymore to deceive gullible MAGA voters.

You know, folks, only in California could they come up with something this stupid — they just passed a law, a real law, saying if your name is Al, you have to tell people your name is Al! Can you believe it? Total insanity!
I know a lot of great Als — Al Capone, tough guy; Al Pacino, very talented; Al Michaels, “Do you believe in miracles?” — yes I do! But now they’ve got to walk around saying, “Hello, my name is Al,” or they’ll probably throw them in jail! That’s what they do in California — they let criminals run wild, but they’ll arrest poor Al for not announcing himself.
They say it’s about transparency — no, it’s about control. Next, they’ll make Bob say he’s Bob, then Joe Biden will have to say he’s Joe Biden, which, by the way, he can’t remember half the time.
We’re going to protect Al. We’re going to protect every Al, big Al, small Al, doesn’t matter. We love Al. We’re going to make Al great again!

You cannot have real discussions necessary for maintaining a healthy democracy when the discussion space is crowded with bots which are there to manufacture an illusion of consent/support for anti-democracy principles.
Bot disclosure should be the law of every land.

If you’re a cop you have to tell me you’re a cop

That’s a good place to start. There should also be codified liability for service providers who deliver LLM-generated fabricated information.

If they’re using A1 sauce, they have to tell you it’s A1 sauce.

Fantastic! This should be a common rule among AIs

Screw that, I want a law where the Naturally Stupid (NS) have to tell you *that* up front so you can avoid wasting your time with them.

It you ask AI if it is AI, the AI legally has to tell you it is AI.
I’ve heard the same thing about police, and it is bullshit. Use that information as you see fit

There’s a game called Analogue: A Hate Story – In the game all the “AI” characters have an asterisk ahead of their name when talking to you **Claude would be an easy way to denote that it’s not a real person. The issue is when you get out of a text context you’ll need to note it with a voice which maybe setting a standard voice or fidelity would help ID what is an AI?

Or what? Put the AI in jail?

Chatbots are a good start but I think all AI generated media should be labeled as such. Ai should never be allowed to impersonate a human.

California is killing it lately
Paul Simon’s been doing this for decades.
