If that many people had been violent towards maga, maga wouldn’t exist anymore.Ā  But, no one was violent.Ā  It was peaceful.Ā

Holding a sign equals violence, but wishing for the total extermination of non-whites isn’t. Got it… Fucking fuck them.

You know, of all the transparently fascist actions this administration has taken, I think that declaring Antifa a terrorist organization took the cake.

  4. lol. The protest I saw was mostly older white folks in compression socks with homemade signs about supporting federal workers and flags. Many wore clothing identifying them as veterans. No one was breaking into buildings or stealing government property a la Jan 6th. The fear mongering won’t work!

In my small town we had a 99% peaceful event with over 3000 protestors – there was one instance of violence when a young man attacked another man with the pole of his ā€˜trump’ flag.

    Lying magas love to project.

  6. They really are so fucking pathetic. I’m not sure who’s buying this shit the Republicans are selling, but those of us with functioning eyeballs who also attended the rallies know it was peaceful and energetic and nothing which would warrant terrorism accusations. This current Republican Party behaves just like incels do, they can’t get what they want the natural way so they must lie, abuse, obfuscate, manipulate, and project their way to the actual fucking bank to get anywhere. They know they can’t legitimately win elections so they just eject completely false filth from their orifices. Fuck these assholes.

    >*Branding the use of free speech as somehow a hateful attack on a country that protects free speech is, of course, absurd. But Trump and his allies are leaning into illogical and overblown rhetoric as part of a larger, dishonest scheme to portray cities where Democrats hold power as dangerous hotbeds of violent insurrection.*

This is not the America I grew up in.

Our founding fathers anticpated a lot of the pitfalls that might threaten our grand experiment in democracy. But they couldn’t forsee everything, like that partisan politics would stand in the way of the impeachment of a corrupt president (twice). Or that a convicted (34 out of 34 counts) felon and (declared liable) rapist and perhaps also a pedophile, would be given the keys to the White House by the general population. Not to mention that SCOTUS would utterly fail us as the final arbiter of what is consitutional or NOT.

  8. The only ā€œviolenceā€ I’ve seen was MAGA agitators trying to start shit with words

  9. So where is the footage of all the violence? And don’t show anything from another country or years ago.

  10. Reporting in from Indiana. Went to my no kings protest today at the capital. I saw a lot of police just kind of hanging out. No violence. It was chill and people were friendly. Trumps sycophants must be scared shitless of people on blow up animal costumes or something.

  11. Easiest litmus test then, if someone says it was violent then ask them about their views on authoritarianism and fascism

It’s as good as people saying “I’m a closet NAZI”

[https://wwsutru.vercel.app/](https://wwsutru.vercel.app/) It’s honestly hilarious they cannot hear the words they’re speaking

C’mon children, settle down. Take the world **more literally** and *less seriously*

Wishful thinking on their part. They wanted violence so Trump could use it as an excuse for massive crackdowns on supposed antifa agitators.

  13. We are in this mess because far too much attention was paid to the ranting of this orange moron.

There is nothing democrats can do to convince these people they are wrong. So it’s long since time to stop trying.

With millions peacefully protesting in thousands of locations around the country, the Trump administration is bitterly awaiting the Antifa revolution. Republicans are frustrated with this outcome because they’re not getting the destructive rise they want out of these protestors.

Trump and his allies want an escalation, they want a “war zone,” they want hostile resistance and mayhem so that they can capture these moments and use them to spread disinformation and alarmist propaganda; convincing their voters of some radical left rebellion taking place around the country.

They want to provoke an incident so they can justify more military incursions, so their fearmongering narratives hold up, so their state sanctioned media can falsely depict these cities as “hellholes.”

They want so desperately to be able to rationalize to themselves and the public why their inherently authoritarian measures are warranted.

But the reality is, *they* are the “invaders,” *they* are the provocateurs.

Sadly, this absence of a violent revolution won’t stop the MAGA coalition from branding their political opponents, their critics—even peaceful protestors—as “domestic terrorists.”

The Trump admin has given itself the unilateral authority to dictate who meets the official, yet vague criteria of an “America hating” Antifa insurgent. Republicans are using these provocative labels to loosely and vaguely define anyone who protests against Trump and his policies in public as an extremist.

Trump is also federalizing troops and threatening to invoke the insurrection act so he can authorize the military to enforce his will and carry out the law however the regime sees fit.

But for Trump and his followers, “law and order” simply means punishing your enemies.

This isn’t about reducing crime, nor is it about driving back some imaginary rebellion. It’s about inflicting pain and righteous vengeance on all who oppose them. It’s about MAGA punishing its make-believe enemies. It’s about suspending civil liberties and cracking down on dissenting voices.

And it should go without saying that these excessive, unconstitutional measures do absolutely nothing to address the underlying, root causes of crime, radicalization, gun violence and domestic extremism in America.

With the deployment of these federalized troops and with Trump’s deputizing of trigger happy ICE agents and law enforcement officials, Republicans are hoping to provoke a vicious commotion from any one person or group out of millions who are lawfully protesting the government’s descent into authoritarianism

They are creating the conditions for chaos and eagerly anticipating a fleeting moment of confrontation in response to their own provocations so they can seize the opportunity to depict all protestors as riotous and destructive, and characterize US cities as breeding grounds for Antifa renegades.

That way they can retroactively justify their efforts to centralize authoritarian control over the country and provide a much needed rationalization for the logical next step in their plan—to declare martial law.

But if or when they do, they’ll only be demonstrating that THEY are the monsters because millions of protestors who are peacefully taking to the streets to oppose this dictatorial regime; dancing; bike riding and marching in defense of their rights is not the “rebellion” they were hoping for.

  15. Watched as many streams as I could find, working from east to west from about 9AM EST – 1:30AM EST. The only violence I saw was when LAPD started firing rubber bullets at protesters in LA and when ICE/DHS started lobbing smoke and tear gas in Portland.

Anti American asshats. Who cares what people who wear their flag on their ass floss think?

  17. FalstaffsGhost on

The only violence that happened was trump supporters – I read of a few folks bringing guns or trying to hit people with cars. The protestors were peaceful and joyous

  18. If you keep labeling peaceful protest violent, you’ll justify the next crackdown. Republicans call this a “Hate America rally” or tying it to Antifa with zero evidence are part of the problem

  19. Let’s stop calling them ‘trump sycophants’ and let’s start calling them ‘pro kings’.

They have these bullshit terms they use for the left like ‘woke’. The left needs their own terms that clearly defines the current right. They are against no kings because they are pro kings. And their ‘king’ despises the Constitution.

Accusing of ‘violence’ is just their distraction. The left needs to take back the narrative and shine a bright light on the right’s BS.
