  1. When does it stop? Why do they have to cheat? They are so worried about midterms. Get better polices!

North Carolina is already gerrymandered to the limit like most republican states so this may backfire and cause republicans a huge loss!

Or the 80% of non-republicans nationwide will eventually rebel when they realize how much they outnumber republicans.

Cheating to get power is a lot easier than holding on to that power.

  3. And Remember that North Carolina’s 2010 maps were considered partisan gerrymandering gone wild. Because when the architect of their 2010 maps was asked why there were only 3 Dem seats on the map despite the state only having a slight Republican party lean, his answer was because he didn’t think he could pull off a map with only two Dem seats.

  4. Trump claims he is one of the most popular presidents in US history yet is forcing red states to re-draw district lines to ensure they win the midterms.

    Math isn’t mathing

The only way they can win is to cheat. F*ck you if you support this. Every democratically controlled state should mid-decade gerrymander every one of their repugnicans out of Congress. Republicans are the absolute worst of humankind.

The NC GOP is playing a dangerous game. It’s already a very safe state for them because of current gerrymandering but they are almost maxed out with what gerrymandering can do for them. If they do redraw the maps, they risk losing ground in some of their safe areas so if dems are smart, they start targeting the risky areas to counter-act any new gerrymandering. NC is pretty purple already even with overdone gerrymandering, there is a chance (if dems go all out) that this move can backfire.

Where are the rest of the blue states in this? California has their redistricting referendum coming up for a vote in November, but that’s only five seats. All the other blue states need to be doing this as well.

  8. Or lose seats in what is sure to be a wave election in 26. Gotta be careful with those margins.

I have a sneaky suspicion this map redrawing sht is going below up in their faces, at some it’s just nothing more to gain and more of lose but we’ll see

  10. Blaming California for being the reason for doing it when it was Texas that caused California to do what it is doing.

Call it now they are going to fuck themselves next election. I haven’t done the math so I don’t know for sure but I bet they are going to fuck themselves. I am assuming they are redistricting based on a Democrats and Republican percentages. Problem with doing that is during landslide years like we will see in 2026 you will make more districts because you spread out the voting

It’s been this way for years here but this one just finishes the fight. It’s a very very purple leaning blue state. But our state govt is controlled by republicans because here our land votes. Not the people. Bumfuck counties smaller than neighborhoods in metro have more reps than some areas. NC has had 4. Yes 4 republicans as governor. That’s it. But our legislature is and has been run by rural ass used car dealers and small town mover and shaker republicans forever now. This just makes it so Raleigh and Charlotte are the only blue areas and the rest of the state is red.

It is more obvious than ever that the electoral college is being weaponized because it’s out of date. One to one voting should be the only way to vote.

What are the top 5 pertinent businesses that donate to the NCGOP that we can blacklist and never purchase from again?

  15. Can we just split districts by latitude and longitude lines in each state? Like make fucking squares all over? Fair for all.

  16. States should be required to draw districts that will have a percentage probability of allocating representatives based on the ratio of overall votes in the last statewide election.

Let’s see whose policies are more popular when in all these states that are 51/49 but gerrymandered into a super majority, the candidates have to actually campaign on their ideas

So the real reason they keep delaying swearing in the new democratic seat. So they could cheat more numbers so it won’t matter.
