otalEnergies (TTE) has signed an agreement to sell its sustainability consultancy and solutions unit, GreenFlex, to French engineering firm Oteis, as part of a broader effort to streamline its business around energy production and supply. GreenFlex, which employs around 800 staff across 19 offices in France and Europe, will bring deep expertise in low-carbon energy performance, environmental consulting, and transition financing to Oteis. The acquisition allows Oteis to form a major new player in sustainable design and consulting, offering end-to-end solutions spanning construction, water, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
Despite the divestment, TotalEnergies will remain a key GreenFlex customer, particularly through a contract for producing French Energy Saving Certificates (CEEs), underscoring continued collaboration between the two companies. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and employee consultations.
