    >“He is a terrible human being … terrible. I do not wish death on anyone, but him not being here is a blessing.”

    That’s just facts

  2. I was expecting some kind of call for blood, but no, she just stated and opinion and now her government job wants to fire her for that.

  3. >Last month, Melisa Crook, a high school English teacher from Creston, was informed that she was facing termination for a social-media comment regarding Kirk.

    >Crook then sued the district in federal court, citing a series of pro-Republican posts by Superintendent Deron Stender and school board president Don Gee, and alleging that her First Amendment rights were being violated.

    >“Crook posted her Facebook comments on her personal time, at home, from her personal Facebook account,” Ebinger stated in her ruling. “She did not purport to speak as an employee of the Creston Community School District.

Add “woke cancel culture” to the ongoing list of projection/hypocrisy from MAGAt-GOPers.

I am glad she is appearing to win the case. If the person said things on their own social media, I don’t see why an employer can fire her for exercising her first amendment right. The only way I would be on the school district’s side is if she signed something stating she can’t post those types of comments to her personal account or she is representing herself as the district. All of this was overreach.

  5. Teacher here.

Fuck Charlie Kirk. It was disgusting to see my school flag flying at half mast for this weasel while ignoring the school shooting that happened on the same fucking day.

I’m glad she got her job back.

Gotta say, this is a pretty weird headline when you consider nominative determinism

The workd would be better if two things happened:

    1. Republican party dissolves and a new party takes its place.

    2. Facebook was gotten rid of en masse.
