Laugh right in the face of anyone who claims the GOP are a “law and order” party.

  2. > Donald Trump declared himself the arbiter of whether or not his own administration should pay him damages over past federal investigations, telling reporters that any such decision “would have to go across my desk”.

So that’s it. The Justice Department pays for the Ball Room he’s building himself. Whatever he can squeeze out of the total cost, and/or simply not pay to contractors, is his to keep.

$250M? Think about that. You could build a town for that kind of money. That number has no basis in reality to begin with.

This will normalize his use of public funds for himself.

  3. This dictatorship—as almost all are—is simply about robbing the country blind.

Where do you think all of the tax dollars are going that used to go to all of the programs and agencies that he has destroyed?

Where do you think all of the tariff revenue is going?

    This is a giant racket.

  4. So Republicans are just fine with the president having the power to just give himself hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on a whim?

He has the last say on a lot of things that could actually help the citizens but he will instead use to extort the citizens to increase his own wealth by about 3%.

  6. Things like this just prove that the republicans have no plans of transferring power ever again. It all just screams “We don’t care about the rules/protocol/decorum/logic and we definitely don’t care about being held accountable for disregarding all of that because we don’t plan on giving power back TO be held accountable. This is it.”

They are breaking all the rules, taking everything they can get their hands on and in the end they will burn the whole fucking building down.

I don’t think people realize the US is in active collapse, and it’s only going to get worse before we can recover.

  8. Well, at least America doesn’t have to worry about 6 trans kids playing high school sports or having to dial “1” for English. Obviously that was the real threat to democracy and worth burning the whole country down over…

Good job guys, you did it! And all it cost us was *everything*.

Man. Each time he enriches himself further, I just have to think about a prior president selling a peanut farm

  11. The plaintiff and defendant are both controlled by the exact same individual. How in the fresh hell is this not a major conflict of interest?

Imagine if Obama took even $1,000 of tax payer money for himself. It would run nonstop on Fox until he returned it.

  13. So presidents can just raid the treasury, essentially. Cool. He has final say, plenary authority yada yada

I’ll simplify it for you, he’s a king now.

  14. If there is one thing that is good about this, it is that it is so simple and blatantly corrupt.

It’s easy to explain this to voters. It’s easy to understand. It’s easy for people to hate.

It is obvious self dealing and corruption.
