I find it very hard to believe this number is not much higher. Just from some local commenters I would think the number is too low and I live in a primarily Red area.

  2. Just imagine if Obama illegally demolished an entire wing of the White House, tweeted AI videos of him shitting on America, said “I wish her well” to the convicted pedophile he was moving to Club Fed while protecting the other pedophiles.

Imagine of Obama declared imaginary emergency powers to unilaterally fuck over global trade with a less than half-baked tariff scheme that made no sense at all. I could go on. This sucks. I hope we are resilient enough to get through this.

More people were angry about Cracker Barrel changing its logo than they are about this.

What a nightmare this country has become.

Example 14827195 of liberals not understanding that Republicans don’t care about opinion polls and just do whatever they want

  5. PresentCheck9309 on

Only 24 percent approved and another 24 percent are unsure.

So that makes more sense. 24 percent approved, which is about the number Trump would receive for turning the keys to our nuclear codes over to Russia, so that tracks.

It also happens to be the same 24 percent of Republicans who have lost cognition in their brains.

  6. Much-Instruction-807 on

Because republicans are in a cult. They bitch and moan about tearing down confederate monuments and are completely silent on tearing down the goddamn Whitehouse.

  7. Showing yet again that half of us are just a-okay with it all. I’m not sure what these articles are suppose to do, other than highlight the division we’re all already aware of.

  8. No no, it’s privately funded. Trump is going to pay for it out of his own pocket using the hundreds of millions of dollars that he is making the DOJ pay him. Totally legit and will be approved by the top officials in the department who just happen to be the lawyers from Trump’s legal defense team. What’s the big deal?

  9. PresentCheck9309 on

Poll only showed that 24 percent approve.

That is the same number Trump would get for taking a shit on the White House lawn, so it makes sense.

  10. The very same people who cried and wailed about removing monuments applaud the literal destruction of America’s most sacred monument.

It’s almost as if they’ve been completely disingenuous this whole time. I’m starting to think THEY’RE ALL TOTAL HYPOCRITES.

  11. Did they even bother to check for Asbestos before taking a backhoe to it? The east wing was built at a time where asbestos was in so many materials.

All that dust flying around, nobody wearing masks and no environmental testing done. Who the hell knows what harmful chemicals are flying in the air and landing everywhere throughout all the buildings. Heck, there hasn’t even been any permits filed for the demolition at all so far and that phase is nearly done.

Dictators don’t need approval. Donald Trump only needed people’s votes, not their approval. And now that he got it he’s done needing it.

That’s how you know we’re in a dictatorship. Approval ratings don’t matter when you’re no longer living in a democracy.

  13. Wanna know how I know this is pretty unpopular

The only response I’ve heard from conservatives I know personally is “why are Dems pretending they care about the building CLINTON GOT A BJ!!!!!”

If you have to go to the fucking 90s to try and paint the other team as hypocrites you’ve lost

  14. The fun thing about being a king is that you don’t need to care about what the people disapprove of.

  15. The saddest thing about the East Wing demolition is that it’s just a metaphor for everything else Trump is doing.

  16. paradoxicalcrow on

I think the whole point of this demolition is… it doesn’t matter what percentage of us disapprove anymore.

  17. completelackoftalent on

These surveys and headlines are basically pointless. They are going to sit in power doing incredibly unpopular things with no repercussions. So why ask if we approve or not

  18. Of the other 47%, how many are aware of the historic preservation and that there are avenues for permission to do such projects? I doubt Fox explains it to them…

  19. I always wonder where they get this data because I’ve never been asked to participate in any of these polls.

  20. Say it with me.

    IT…DOES….NOT…..MATTER……

not unless someone wants to hold him accountable, and no one does.

Republicans are going to let Trump destroy everything about this country just because they enjoy that he upsets the liberals.

  22. Umami-Ice-Cream on

Enough ppl voted for this and stayed home. So now we get it.

Hope it was worth it, “both sides.”

  23. Only half of America are disappointed with the destruction of their landmark symbol? Fucking republicans are just lemmings

  24. And about half the country does not exceed a sixth-grade reading level. About 20% is functionally illiterate.

  25. edwardturnerlives on

it cant possibly be 47% approve/no opinion. No. Fucking. Way. This country is filled with clueless nincompoops.
