I’ve raised my prices due to tariffs so I won’t be on SNAP. Sadly, those that don’t own their business aren’t going to get their wages increase enough to pay for food. Seniors won’t suddenly get more social security.

Notes to those who blame the democrats for the suspension of snap, funding for SNAP is structured to continue even during shutdowns (through emergency reserves). Those funds are available, the White House has decided that they will not be used for that purpose.

“According to a memo seen by Reuters, the [USDA] indicated that it would not draw on emergency reserves to fund food benefits in November.
A statement from the leader of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said the Trump administration had the opportunity to act sooner to ensure benefits don’t run out.
“It could have, and should have, taken steps weeks ago to be ready to use these funds,” the statement from Sharon Parrott said, as reported by the Hill. “Instead, it may choose not to use them in an effort to gain political advantage” as Republicans seek to exert pressure on Senate Democrats to vote in favor of a spending bill that would reopen the federal government.”
Exactly. Always money for foreign bailouts and billionaires, never for hungry families at home. Sanders hit the nail on the head with this one.
Trump had to get a kickback from the $40 billion,that’s the only reason he is defending giving Argentina the bailout.
