Oh no! He wants to make things affordable for normal people. The horror.

Excellent. He is probably one of the best leaders the democrats have had in a few years.

If they’re dumb enough to do that, we’ll take it. Lol. Mamdani would absolutely eviscerate the GOP.

We’re witnessing, once again, one of the news media’s most frustrating behaviors: because they work in New York City, all New York politics is national politics. Mamdani hasn’t run a nationalized campaign (the opposite, in fact. His campaign has been hyper-local), and isn’t trying to take the damn party over. If he were mayor apparent for literally any other city in the country, even the other megacities like LA or Chicago, we wouldn’t be having this extreme a discussion on it.
Republicans can try to make him the face of the party, but outside of Staten Island and the Hamptons, nobody who is even *remotely* close to being a swing voter is going to give a shit about what happens in NYC.

A young, attractive populist who wants to make people’s lives tangibly better? As the face of the party? Oh no! Anything but that!

Does the Democratic Party have to pay Republicans for this or is it a free service they’re offering? Either way, thanks.
Idiots are trying to make Mamdani the face of Democrats while making Vance the face of Republicans. It’s like 2 favors at the same time.

This is probably a bad idea. No matter what you think of his policies he’s charismatic. You want to make the unlikable people the face of the opposition, not the fun guys.

It’s funny how the donor class within the party are the only ones clutching their pearls and threatening to leave, as though they’re not the fucking reason we keep losing

Hey Dems… psst…. run Mamdani for president. Trump’s already breaking the rules. Break the rules to run Mamdani.

Democrats keep trying to be centrists on every issue, maybe even a little right wing in the hopes of appealing to voters.
when will they learn that’s not a good strategy?
maybe the Democrats need to let the GOP brand them as the party that will go after billionaires
Pencil-Sketches on
I would love it if he was the face of the party. This is the direction the democrats should have been taking the entire time, more especially in response to Trumpism.

Republicans work to make charismatic, handsome, and well liked populist the face of the Democratic Party. The twist? The Democratic Party thinks that it’s the worst thing they’ve ever done.
