The richest country in the world subsidizes an eighth of their population with a whole $187/mo and decides it can’t afford it, but will happy suck the corporate teat for a 90,000 sq ft ballroom.

Is America great yet? Certainly continues looking like shit.

  4. The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

The optics are insane. East wing of the White House demolished for a ballroom and already poor Americans scrambling to figure out how to feed their kids. And laid off civil workers trying to get a job. So congressional republicans can make sure health care is even more expensive. And Trump off doing the two-step in Malaysia.

So MAGA states are leading the charge to feed their hungry residents and not just waiting to reap any benefit from Blue states lawsuits, right?

Or are MAGA states just willing to sit back and watch the further DOGE-ing of the most basic of resources…
