No need to actually accomplish anything if you can just lie about it and most of the media will be complicit in sharing those lies mindlessly and without any skepticism.

It’s hilarious. You know who deals for cartels citizens! Immigrants don’t want to risk it. That’s the point. Not going to lie drug dealers are good at business. You setup networks with trusted locals who have contacts and trust in the community. You don’t import workers they don’t have the connections.

Looks like they’re bringing back a version of the inflated fake “body count” estimates that they had during the Vietnam War. They counted every NVA or VC body that they found as 100 to pad the numbers and made daily press releases about it to keep people feeling like the US was “winning”.
There’s a word for not telling the truth, cmon media you can say it.
On a sidenote, very glad to see Spotlight still going strong. I haven’t followed the Boston Globe in a while and am really, really fed up with most newspaper media these days–how are they holding up? Have they embarrassed themselves the way the NYT has?
Could also be an instance of collusion as bigly numbers are given to public to create the notion that something’s being done.
