This obsession with crime and punishment is reflected in Trump’s militarization of domestic policy, in his admin’s disregard for people’s constitutional rights, in Trump’s attacks and threats aimed at judges and law firms, in his unjustified prosecutions of his political opponents, in his weaponization of the DOJ, and in his deputizing of masked ICE agents.
Trump has stated that he is above the law; posting comments like, “He who saves his country does not violate any law,” insinuating that he is entitled to act outside all laws and regulations whenever he sees fit
Trump believes he can act with impunity, even when it comes to lethal actions taken outside the country, and especially when those targets fit a certain description.
Trump has given himself the unilateral authority to dictate who meets the vague criteria of a drug smuggling criminal or “terrorist,” and he’s carrying out these extrajudicial killings because he has the full public backing of a GOP that continues to enable him and cover up his crimes.

The US flotilla off Venezuela was just augmented by the Ticonderoga and includes the Marine amphibious assault ship Iwo Jima. The Gerald R Ford carrier group is en route from the Med and arrives in the Caribbean next week. Military air zones have been declared at an F35 airbase in Puerto Rico where Special Forces are assembling.
The murdered fishermen are going to be the least of it.

The blood of every single person he kills is on the hands of every republican who protected him and continue to protect him, it’s on the hands of every media outlet and journalist that help normalize him.
He WILL strike targets in Venezuela, he’s going to keep hitting targets after that point because he’s been enabled to do so.
I’m sure the republicans did their calculations for risk and reward and they decided that the rewards of fucking every single american they pretend to represent outweighed the risks. The republicans got what they wanted so far and are still not satisfied.
They’re allowing all of this to happen just to get the ability to be outwardly racist, control women’s bodies, rip away health care, deport anyone who’s skin is the wrong color or who gets in their way, and to make money on top of it all.
