  1. Republicans used to at least pretend to support the troops, now they’re ready to tell them to pound sand if they dare wear a colorful wardrobe.

So much for supporting those who serve our country.

  2. >Another employee reportedly wrote in a separate message that supervisors at Hampton had relayed that “per executive order, you cannot have lanyards, rainbow magnets, [or] shirts … and Central Office is coming down on our leadership, which is spilling down to us.” Similarly, another staffer claimed that Harper had threatened “disciplinary action” against Hampton employees who did not comply with his alleged directive. The same staffer noted that hospital leadership had instructed staff to comply to avoid facing “disciplinary action.”

    >The same staffer later added that Harper had “acted like other people said it, but he totally said it. You can’t ‘promote that community,’” according to *The Advocate*.

Boy, it really seems like Christian nationalists really want to force us all to wear Pink Triangles all over again.

Christian nationalists are just such hateful mossbacks, I swear. They just hate the idea that anyone lives a life happy without their religion shaming them. It’s such a regressive hate group.

At this rate, I’m waiting on Christian nationalists to ban prisms and school lessons on refraction, because prisms are clearly “gender ideology”, or some shit.

Yeah, they’ll be perfectly fine with crosses on lanyards, but pride symbols are banned.

These people are unamerican in every sense of the word. They’re nazi christo-fascists who are trying to purge society of anything that isn’t white and Christian.

  4. Please just stop killing us.

e: You can stop replying with trans suicide jokes, they get deleted before I can read the whole thing anyway. Thanks

It’s a miracle these snowflakes don’t get a heart attack whenever they see a rainbow in the sky. A bunch of performative faux Christians

  6. MakeAPatternGrow on

Sounds like a great way to say that the rainbow is a symbol of Gods pact with man following Noahs Flood and then sue for religious intolerance.

  7. Alwaystired254 on

Why is this news? It’s common knowledge that the GOP hates and will not tolerate diversity.

They’re also so obsessed with trans panic that the VA [is no longer covering treatment for male breast cancer in veterans](https://www.propublica.org/article/veterans-affairs-male-breast-cancer-coverage-trump-executive-order). Breast cancer in males is rare, but when it happens, it tends to be much more acutely fatal than in females. Also, the rate of male breast cancer is significantly higher among veteran males than non-veteran males. Probably because of all the toxic shit in the burn pits.

They are literally killing veterans because they are afraid of LGBTQ+ folks.

You know, some people just like rainbows. They’re a colorful natural phenomenon that people enjoy looking at. They hate LGBTQ+ so much they’re willing to get mad at the existence of *rainbows*.

Government control is reaching unprecedented levels. It used to be the Republican party was AGAINST that! Vote them OUT

  11. Republicans are so damn weak. Imagine letting rainbows trigger you so much. But they think THEY are the strong men? Guys, you are literally afraid of everything. lol

I was told I couldn’t dress as the little jesus figure because it’s too controversial. I showed up on Halloween morning, and a manager was dressed as the devil. Make it make sense.

    Genesis 9:13-16

13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.

16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

  14. How can this be legal? They are basically firing you for wearing certain color patterns??

Edit: So could they fire you if you wore a blue shirt, a yellow skirt, a green scarf, and red shoes? That way you have the colors of a rainbow but it’s not rainbow colored.

  15. Oh my fucking *godddd* they are so triggered by LGBT people they’re afraid of seeing *buttons* and *enamel pins* so fucking sensitive. *fucking losers*

  16. With this ‘mis-administration’ you can be a crook, a felon, a racist and a moron but you’re fine.

    Gay or a woman or a liberal…

    Truly sad and sick.

  17. As someone who worked in the medical field and never even considered wearing pins or things like that to work, I would *immediately* go,out and buy rainbow pins and rainbow lanyards and rainbow shoelaces and anything and everything rainbow. And adorn myself thusly and share with anyone who wanted to show the rainbow.

There is a shortage of hospital personnel. Fire us all, then find out it was illegal and try to rehire us. Sure, 25% raise, three more paid days of holiday and increase the staffing numbers so we’re not overwhelmed.

What did Forrest’s mama tell him? Stupid is as stupid does.

Imagine wearing a rainbow lanyard, a MAGA lanyard and an American Flag lanyard and specifically getting fired for ONE of them and not the others

I would bet on that lawsuit in ordinary times

  19. I’m sure this will get buried. But I can almost certainly say that my local VA hospital didn’t appear to have this rule when I got my procedure done there on Thursday. I saw signs promoting the VA as for everyone with the VA in rainbow pattern and my nurse had a rainbow flag. I imagine it’s leadership dependent.

I remember this because I was surprised it was allowed.

I also flip off DJT every time I walk by his picture in the lobby. It’s my small act of inconsequential defiance to him.

  20. A Christian should ever a rainbow and arm pin and then sue for religious discrimination. The Supreme Court would never side against a Christian

  21. I’d claim it’s a Noah’s Ark themed lanyard and sue for religious discrimination.
