  1. If they’re not following the existing laws what makes you think they’d follow this one?

A bit late, should have had this ready last week. She’s worried about reelection.

Senator Susan Collins is directly responsible for not impeaching this asshat when there was the opportunity. Performative milquetoast centrist bullshit that does nothing to stop the fascism and cruelty, because that’s the point.

  4. >In addition to Senators Collins and Hawley, the bill is cosponsored by Senators James Lankford (R-OK), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Bernie Moreno (R-OH), Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).

As a quick reminder, each and every one of the co-sponsors voted in favor of the SNAP *restrictions* in the previous budget.

  5. I’m sure the poor have learned their lessons this time and we won’t have to starve them again.

  6. Why did she wait until a judge ordered the government to continue to fund the program with the funds that already existed?

  7. This is entirely pointless. The house is out of session and there is a negative percent chance anything will be passed before the government reopens

  8. Don’t these people realize whenever they want to do the right thing it means breaking from their party?

Ok but it’s already interrupted. The time to do this was a few weeks ago, this is meaningless window dressing.

  10. I call bullshit, she know’s it won’t get through the house. It’s the same thing with the bill to stop the tariffs, sick of these games here and Murkowski play.

You’re not in charge Susie. You can pass whatever you want. It’ll be ignored because you’re insignificant. Your group therapy sessions where you vote on stuff that makes you feel like you are doing something are cute, but ultimately worthless.

But don’t worry, the guy who is in charge has “learned his lesson”.

  12. But darn the house isn’t in session so this can’t be passed. It’s almost like I’m just looking for votes while not doing anything.

It’s a ruse to distract from her supporting Trump right along. When push comes to shove she’ll vote with him again while expressing ‘great concern.’

“Should I negotiate ACA premiums and vote with the Dems to end the shutdown? No, I’ll propose a bill I know won’t pass so that I can pretend to be a moderate”

I can’t wait to see Maine kick her butt out.
