  1. Of course they are. The media takes ZERO time to report on it and spends minutes on poll sportscasting.

The party that has control of all 3 branches and uses it to do whatever the fuck they want? Of all the no-brainers in politics…

Republicans have been ORDERED to feed SNAP recipients. And they’re avoiding it.

    This is their fault.

The real question… is the shutdown enough to have them vote out republicans.

Since they view democrats as tools of Satan killing babies & protecting lgbtq+ & helping non-white immigrants.

Too many elections have seen hatred snd fear win.  And people with money and power and news channels are really good at spreading the manure.

Let’s hope the lazy asses responsible for Orange Clown President 2 can be bothered to vote in the midterms.

  6. You know, substance of the topic aside, I love me some Steve Kornacki. He’s always a highlight whenever an election rolls around. I like the way he points at the graphs and charts and runs through the numbers.

  7. Determining who’s responsible for withholding the funds is as easy as looking at who got sued to release the funds. It wasn’t Chuck Schumer.

Serious question, what shapes voter’s perception of blame when it comes to a government shutdown?

  9. As people see their new health insurance premiums for 2026, it’s going to be fascinating who they blame for the huge increases. Will they be distracted by the fabulous new WH bathroom instead?

  10. The MAGA lead Congress prides themselves on not crossing the isle to work with the Dems at any level. That’s not how you govern. At minimum be smart enough to know if you can’t get 60 votes in the senate that are needed, then you know your policies aren’t going anywhere. Finally the Dems have the backbone to not only pick the correct fight to win, but to stay united in it. It’s going to be another long year until the 2026 election.

  11. Doesn’t fucking matter. The purpose of the GOP is to give people not what they want, but what they *need*. We are made to suffer under their boot. In fact, the more the better, as they will take us to the utter brink of despair, so long as not to cross it and just so happen to lose a tilted election.

  12. It’s wild to me that everyone isn’t placing the blame there, when the Republicans control all three branches and refuse to negotiate or even show up for work.

  13. The Democratic party being 25% underwater on positive vs negative while people would still want them to govern shows how fucked the whole situation is.

America elected the party who’s primary, stated position is “government is bad and needs to be eliminated”

…And then is shocked when that same government can’t govern.
