  1. Well he’s gonna do that anyway, but yeah, keep up the good fight.

Trump isn’t gonna stop so we have to put him in prison like we should have done.

And thats a pretty tall order right now.

I don’t see the Democrats caving honestly. The majority, or at least a plurality, are with them.. They know they have the highground on this. Most people understand that the Republicans control the government so they rightfully place the blame there.

People are starting to see their Insurance bills as they apply for ACA – they (mostly anyway) know and understand now what the Democrats are fighting for.

This shutdown is looking more and more likely to head into December unless something forces the Republicans to take a look in the mirror and buck Trump

  3. Trump is losing this fight that he started. He has his sycophants sitting around him plotting on how to blame the Democrats more for the shutdown. Violating the Hatch act with their airport propaganda videos, and whiny garbage on all government websites about democrats. Govt workers are losing alot of money, and the most vulnerable are being used as a bargaining chip by this basterd, with SNAP benefits being suspended.

The buck stops with the President, he is responsible, but ironically never, ever takes responsibility for anything negative in his life. It’s always someone else’s fault. He is a poor, useless, selfish, whiny, leader, who should be in Month 11 of his prison sentence of which he was convicted.

The Democrats really need to start appearing on all of the conservative outlets pushing the truth as hard as they can, they need to get as many Republicans against the shut down as possible to increase pressure on Trump.

After this many days, caving would be idiotic, and disastrous for Americans. Likely would get doubled or tripled healthcare premiums and no negotiations to continue subsidies. All would be lost.

  6. 2nd 2nd 2nd 2nd 2nd when is someone going to implement the 2nd? Is this not what it’s for?

  7. I mean Trump’s already running as fast as he can that direction, we don’t want him going any faster or he might hurt himself.

    >Republicans will be even more fascist if Democrats don’t spend every ounce of their political capital helping…rural red state Republicans

    Gotcha. Thanks, Bernie.

I called both my D senators to say exactly that. Unfortunately, I think one of them is nervous about reelection and I’m worried will cave.

I think there’s also a serious case to be made that the shutdown is the perfect catalyst for the transition if it keeps going on.

At some point he’ll had the perfect reasoning for a takeover: the government is gone and no longer functions so now he can make his own government. His base will love it.

  11. If they (Democrats) cave without any consolation (aka healthcare considerations) we’ll know the script at that moment and should just general strike, protest, riot… I don’t give a shit – whatever you’re telling everyone you’ll do once they “cross that line”. That will be the time you do that.

There is no reason to reopen the government, because without considerations and the bill being changed, people are going to die regardless. Either they’ll be blamed for it, so might as well show their ass…

  12. I have been so impressed with Democrats lately and not caving to this shut down.

They better not, they better not cave. We’re almost at the finish line.

  13. They apparently take any backing down, acceptance of what they’re doing, or attempting to make a deal, as a sign of weakness. He is correct.

  14. Partisan dysfunction has reduced the US to an Oligarchy and our most vulnerable are paying the price. At this point Dems shouldn’t cave but you’d be an idiot to think our ineffective corporately owned old guard doesn’t share in the responsibility for what’s happening
