The last couple of shutdowns have seen the same Republican MO… take the main sticking point out of the CR, promising Democrats that if they vote for the CR the chamber will take up the sticking point at a later date… and then Republicans renege on the promise and refuse to take up the sticking point, leaving Democrats without. Democrats should NOT cave this time. Hang the Republicans out to dry for once. (And ask Johnson why it is okay for the Speaker of the House to be so ignorant of what is going on in politics in Washington)
