The New Jersey and Virginia elections certainly included energy cost debate, but seems doubtful that was a major issue in aggregate. Electricity prices or price forecasts have increased in Northeast U.S., a direct consequence of state- and regional-level policies. In most parts of the U.S., there are energy price declines or at least relatively low cost growth.
