Love this for them. I don’t think the GOP understands what is about to happen to them.

Tuesday really was a blue wave of astronomical proportions. People are fired up and angry all over the country, from blue states like New York to swing states like Pennsylvania to ruby red states like Mississippi, where Democrats broke the supermajority in the state Senate! It’s really giving me hope that people are finally over Trump and the GOP’s complete inability to govern.

This week has been so good. I’m pretty sure the orange felon will appear even more unhinged after such defeats.

It sure doesn’t help your cause that people are starving because you shutdown the government and are blaming anybody but yourself. This regime of hate will come to an end and the criminals who thought they are untouchables will be arrested, prosecuted and jailed

Thank you to them for choosing the country over party and/or their pride.

This is why Human Ted Cruz is panicing
the established GOP politicians, the ones who just want to survive the MAGA explosion…they know this signals a big blue wave coming in the midterms and possibly in a few more years at the next election cycle
The corrupt entrenched politicians are all worried that they are no longer safe in their assumption of reelection

By the way, the fact this happened in Pennsylvania is extremely important as a signaler for other swing states

PA needs an all Dem legislature so badly

I really need all these places where Dems have won for the first time in an age to really really help those citizens and make them realize that voting for eveyones best interest helps improve their own lives.

I wonder if the new gerrymandering efforts will backfire now – they have packed and cracked districts, but their margins may be too thin in some areas.

The winning Democratic Candidate, Kretchmar, will be the third mayor Beaver Borough has had ***since 1946***. This borough really did have the same person as mayor from 1946 until 2004. At the time of his death, he was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest serving mayor in U.S. history.
I hope Kretchmar doesn’t have a very detailed 10 year plan for his life, lol

I doubt they are turning to the Democrats as much as they reject authoritarian rule over democracy.

PA saw a lot of these. Deep red but ancestrally blue (aka white working class) Greene County south of Allegheny (Pittsburgh) voted for a Democrat for a county-wide office, albeit it was the incumbent who lost the Republican primary. In Dauphin county (Harrisburg), two Democrats won seats in the court of common pleas there, which is the first time Democrats have had representation on the local court in over 30 years. Dems also flipped the Luzerne County board, in a county that Trump flipped in ’16 in dramatic fashion as part of the Dem collapse in NEPA.
Bucks County is probably the most impressive though. It’s _the_ most important swing county in the state, which is obviously the most important swing state in the nation, and Democrats made a clean sweep of all of the countywide elected positions for the first time since the _Civil War_. This is also a county that anchors a Congressional district with a Republican that has managed to outrun Trump by 10-15 points in his seat (which Biden and Clinton both carried), and will likely be a top target next year.

I’m proud of my home state lately. All they need to do now is get rid of Fetterman.

Will democrats stick to bread and butter issues or squander all of this?

I got confused by the article. But after some searching:
If, and I mean a big fat if Dems manage to get power, there are things that will need to be focusd on. Increasing the size of SCOTUS bench, gutting citizens united, and redrawing all fifty states with a mathematical formula to curb gerrymandering. Yes there is more, lots more to fix, but I’d consider this the foundation.

This is a good thing. My guess is political views are a part of it, alot of old ass republicans that held on to those old world views, are dying off now. Hopefully this is going to be a trend nationwide.

Now, [**Beaver**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver,_Pennsylvania) (a borough in Beaver county), had voted Rep for a century
