Inflation is when the value of money goes down, and it effects the prices of everything. High grocery prices are do to algorithmic price fixing, and lack of competition in the supply chain.

There’s a whole group of MAGA folks who are shielded from this reality. They only consume “news” that tells them what they want to hear, and they don’t operate in the real world enough to know what’s up. My father-in-law is a Trump supporter, but his wife handles all the grocery shopping and finances. He insists everything is fine, but she had to sit down and explain to him recently why she started buying generic brands. He basically just grumbled and complained about his breakfast foods like a toddler until his wife explained why money was tighter. Even then, he’d never blame Trump for it. It’s always someone else’s fault. “Prices went up under Biden, now they won’t go down again.”

every administration has to deal with the reality that they better make sure the economy is working for the majority of the population or you’re going to be replaced. people do not have patience or the luxury to wait 10 years to see if your polices will pay off. this will be the downfall of mega. every election is won or lost over economic issues. that’s why trump got re-elected. it’s also why he got the boot when Biden took over.

Donald I know you do not know the price of a banana, but most of us do in fact go to to the grocery store on a pretty regular basis. They have all the prices written right next to the food then the cashier tells you again when you check out. You only have a couple lies (it’s not happening and it’s not my fault) and you picked the wrong one here.

I noticed how theyre getting these metrics when he was boasting about egg prices. Prices are different across the country. They take the highest price on record, let’s say 7.99 in California, then the lowest price on record, let’s say 1.15 in Oregon, they see that as the 85% drop in prices. Meanwhile prices actually only dropped to 5.99 in cali, and went up to 3.15 in Oregon. Theyre doing that with all metrics, its dishonest but their idiots eat it up and think inflation is like 2% lmao. The sad thing is, we all go to the grocery stores, we all see prices are up across the board. It really shows the cult will believe what theyre told over what their eyes see. My wife just went to the store yesterday to get stuff to make soup for me, I have the flu, it sucks, anyway, chicken went up again, a few months back it was 3.99, then 5.99, now 7.99. Just stuff for soup, stock, chicken, celery, noodles, carrots, my wife spent $30. Also shrinkflation is kicking up, were paying the same for a lot less.
