  1. > The two-month campaign sprint cemented Newsom’s status as one of Trump’s leading adversaries at a time when even many Democrats described the party as ineffective and weak.

    > “We stood tall and we stood firm in response to Donald Trump’s recklessness,” Newsom said Tuesday. “After poking the bear, this bear roared.”

TBH: I’m a bit ambivalent toward Newsom as an apparent favorite for the ’28 elections. But he’d be at least an acceptable potus and what is there now is outrageously unacceptable.

That’s basically what the entire American conservative movement has always been! All their grievances are things they are afraid of and all their talking points are always based on “Fear of the other”.

Other than tax breaks for the rich that’s all the party has ever been about as long as I can remember.

Newsom sucks. Doesn’t support trans people and calls Donald Trump a socialist. Yeah I just LOVE capitalism, Gavin. This dude would be a neocon in a second if it was advantageous to his career make no mistake

  4. Why is the governor of California holding political rally in Texas?

I mean, I know why, but do we really need to start presidential campaigns 3 years in advance?

“Donald Trump is a stupid man’s idea of a smart person,

a poor man’s idea of a rich man,

and a weak man’s idea of a strong man.” – Fran Lebowitz

  6. That would imply that something about him conveys strength, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Nothing about anything they do suggests strength. It’s just fear and hatred and greed.

  7. Seriously? Who really sees that orange sack of shit as strength? Honestly? I don’t know, maybe I’m wired differently, but I’ve always known what he was. He’s always told me who he was and I listened to him.

  8. Politics in the USA is completely fucked. It’s 2025 and Newsom is more focused on campaigning for 2028 than actually doing his existing job.
