  1. I deleted my account this morning just because of the abusive practices towards small artists and the founder investing funds into AI military technologies. Delete all your apps – buy a record player or tape player or CD player. Make music special again.

  2. i recommend TIDAL to anyone looking for a new streaming app. better audio quality and higher artist pay. i switched after Spotify sponsored the inauguration.

Dropped Spotify for Tidal on November 1 after they consistently refused to stop running ICE recruitment ads. Imported all my playlists and everything. Never looking back

I finally decided to cancel Spotify a few weeks ago after I heard about the ICE ads. I had premium so I wasn’t getting them personally, but the fact that they have them and refuse to remove them is so morally repulsive to me that I couldn’t keep using the app.

  5. Wow, all you fascists listen to music?! I only listen to the echo chamber inside my head. All my personalities agree!

  6. Remember, before you delete, copy your favorite playlists and download them as MP3’s. Then you are the real rebel and can get Spotify sued.

Everyone should check out Tidal. It was free for me to migrate my whole library over from Spotify. Streaming is ultimately an unsustainable business model but Tidal currently treats artists best.

  8. I deleted Spotify years ago when I realised they paid artists the least of all the music streaming platforms.

  9. Pandora also runs ICE ads, and, in Texas, they run conservative senator ads basically telling you to thank him for following trump’s agenda.

  10. So you run out to cancel your subscription and pat yourself on the back, jump online to tell the world, I think I have done the right thing, I am fighting fascism and you should join me.
Suppose enough people do cancel and their profits fall, but you didn’t bother to look at the bigger picture, nor think about the implications of it at all. I bet you probably don’t even know or didn’t bother to research how they donate during election cycles.

Maybe see the bigger picture sometimes, oh no, they are letting ICE pay to advertise on the platform, I must cancel and protest at once.

Not realizing that they are a very large political donor, who in the 2024 cycle gave 94% of their donations to DEMOCRAT candidates, so they are literally letting the enemy pay to fill the piggybank that gets donationed to an overwhelming majority of Democrats.

I got off months ago when they started investing heavily in military AI technology. Sounds like it was the right choice.

  12. The worst part is we are paying for the advertisements, and ICE. All of US are funding this and that pisses me off so so so bad.

  13. What if I was grandfathered into a lifetime membership before Spotify was even available in the US?
