Republicans *never* cared about protecting children (when have they ever, look at their policies). This was always about scoring political points, and now that it looks like it primarily implicates their dementia-addled emperor, they will conspicuously ignore it. Whatever happens with the release, I’ve seen enough. Trump was part of a child sex trafficking ring. If he was tried with only the evidence we have now, I believe he would be convicted by a jury of his peers.

I believe wholeheartedly that the Pizzagate conspiracy was pushed so hard by Russia in 2016 to counteract any Epstein related chatter and provide cover for Trump. The idea is that the Pizzagate conspiracy was so outlandish that it would muddy up any legitimate accusations thrown at Trump. For all we know, Trump *did actually* run an underground sex ring out of MaraLago.
Surprisingly, the Epstein stuff wasn’t heavily mentioned until after Trump was elected.
