MTG seems to be the only House member bold enough to be the canary in the coal mine. I may not like her, I may not agree with her views and I don’t fully understand her reasons, but I will be honest and say I respect her unwillingness to back down under pressure.

I have always not liked MTG. But her turn on Trump has been fascinating. I wish other republicans had the balls to stand up to him. She knows he’s guilty with Epstein and the shafting of the ACA exchange is killing her constituents

I do respect the hell out of her defection from MAGA servitude. The visible political pressure is barely the tip of the iceberg—that one I know all too well just from relatively casual activism. Hopefully she’s got good people protecting her safety. I don’t agree with a lot of her party line views but damn, the things she’s said recently about differences of opinion being what actually makes America great and actually recognizing the importance of being a role model—better late than never and I’m fully here for it.
