They blamed democrats during the shut down. This should help click the dots that they want you to starve. But i know they will still shift blame.

If 186,000 dead people are on SNAP, it means you know who shouldn’t receive it and cut those people off if it’s true. But why would you make the ones you know are alive, start over?

  2. This lady.

    >The secretary said after receiving data on SNAP recipients from 29 red states that “186,000 deceased men and women and children in this country are receiving a check.”

    >“Can you imagine when we get our hands on the blue state data what we’re going to find?” she asked

Honestly, probably far less fraud because the blue states have the funding to make the programs more stream lined. We were enrolled and they auto checked tax returns every year to renew benefits until we no longer qualified.

I can promise you won’t hear a peep after this “re-enrollment” due to that.

  3. ‘Jolt’ the system — according to them, “removing waste” — by just denying those who need it most. Communities must now support each other. The federal government is closed for public business.

  4. GOP has been obsessed with this lie for decades.

The leaders of their party don’t believe it, they all have elite education backgrounds and aren’t stupid enough to believe it. They repeat it because their base is dumb as dogshit and they know it riles them up. Talk about a party of low value and poor morality.

I know this is data from only 29 states, but given 42 million Americans receive snap, 186,000 alleged cases of fraud equals .4%. Even if that number doubles or triples, that’s not a good enough reason to punish the other 99%

So if they’re dead they can’t spend the bene’s.also they’re not on checks…they’re on a debit card that had to be be physically used

  7. This is evil. They only doing this to advance the false narrative that these programs are inefficient and widely abused, which is not the case. They don’t care that their actions will harm at-risk disabled, elderly, and other populations.

It’s a fucking joke to print the administrations 186,000 claim without any critical reception.

  9. They see this, and are appalled, but no comment on The Grifter wanting $230 million or talk of a half million each for the 8 Senators involved in the insurrection investigation.

This bullshit is unnecessary and impossible these fuckheads in the Trump administration don’t even realize how backlogged social workers are with cases, and that their computer systems get majorly confused with the slightest income changes which cause massive recomputations then cuts to benefits happen immediately and if there are mistakes, reaching a social worker sometimes takes a month, then often a meeting with a social worker, then another month or more for normal payments to resume, Trump is creating an artificial bureaucracy under false beliefs which are being used to persecute the lower income segment of this country under the assumption that lower income people’s financial security is equivalent to Trump’s favored wealthy population, This is intentional misdirection of public programs for political means, it is corrupt and grossly without legal justification.Trump needs to be impeached, and his administration needs to be purged of fascist Maga political influence, This is the free country the United States of America, not Trump’s fascist playpen.

  11. Trump’s shitty administration is made up of people who laugh at others’ misfortunes. Now that they have power to cause pain and suffering they are going to use it and relish it.

They love that they are able to make it harder for people to get basic needs so then they could use and abuse those very same people. They call them lazy, stupid, just want to sit around for handouts, etc. while removing necessary supports that enable them to have their basic needs met so they COULD maintain employment, a stable household, their health, etc.

Poor people are pawns to them.

That sounds like a logistical nightmare. Sure hope they didn’t fire a bunch of the employees at the USDA!

  13. TheMoorNextDoor on

They want to starve people, which leads to more crime, which leads to more possibilities of successfully invoking the insurrection act.

The end goal never changed, just the game plan has, they were going for this with or without the shutdown.

This is a Mega Republican propaganda lie,                                                                                                                                    The secretary said after receiving data on SNAP recipients from 29 red states that “186,000 deceased men and women and children in this country are receiving a check.”                                                                                                                                                                  This is a staged unsubstantiated statistic by the red Republican party about red states, to promote a biased statistic, because for one red states would never admit to corruption within their own states, because they only complain when it suits their own political gain, which generally means implications of fraud or impropriety in blue areas, this accusation is totally bogus and an obvious ploy to create havoc and social and financial insecurity amongst the low income population of this country, yet another intimidation tactic by Trump Maga 2025 Republican team to gain political strength and create false internal conflicts within our country and victimize the less advantaged, including the poor and disabled.

  15. Aside from the obvious cruelty- isn’t that also incredibly expensive? I can’t imagine that won’t cost an unbelievable amount of money and time to do.

  16. SNAP is already overwhelmed just with the normal once a year reapplications, this is going to be a shit show.

  17. The state I live in has a large backlog for several reasons. At the six month update, my paperwork took three months to be processed before funds were loaded onto the card. Thankfully the local food bank was able to assist.

This is like tearing down a sand castle because a tower is cracking.
