  1. He says, now that he can’t bully enough people not to vote to release them. lol This is basically him telling republicans to save themselves/the party and be given the talking point, “I voted to release the Epstein files!” One way or another, that vote was going to release the files given they couldn’t bully MTG to change her vote.

  2. FBI already scanned all documents and black sharpie out every mention of Trump in them. And he knows it.

  3. only 3 possibilities. either terrible poker face, confident it won’t pass in the senate, or the evidence has been destroyed. given the cover-up, lies, and misinformation that’s already happened, no other possibilities exist.

  4. He has a few options. One is the house passes it and the senate never takes it up. Another is he pocket vetoes it and Congress does nothing. I doubt he accepted his fate and decided to just release it.

  5. Probably 1 of 3 things:

    1. He’s just saying this publicly, but privately is putting massive pressure on reps to vote against releasing the files.

    2. He’s not worried, because anything implicating him has already been redacted beyond comprehension.

    3. He knows he’s in the files, but anything implicating him will be called a hoax and fake news. He knows the MAGA base and many conservatives will ultimately give him a pass and look the other way.

Just look at the recent clips of Megyn Kelly and how she was backtracking and moving the goalposts far from what she said just a few years ago. They are already trying to lay the groundwork to minimize any potential fallout.

Of course he says this now. His justice department is going to say they have an open investigation and can’t release the files. That the release of the files will compromise the investigation. Deflect, delay, and use a smoke screen to hide the evidence of his and his friends’ involvement.

What’s the likelihood of the Epstein files being scrubbed of any mention of him? I’ve always been worried about that.

  8. Either the files got scrubbed or they’re putting all the marbles in on the Senate killing it and then using them as a scapegoat

  9. He realized that he was acting like someone guilty so he’s doing the exact opposite of what he was doing.

Either the FBI sucessfully redacted him out. Or he’s going to have the DOJ block it and pretend his hands are tied.

He knows it’s going to pass so he’s trying to make it look like there isn’t a mutiny

  12. MTG: Before the vote, I’d like to call in the survivors, and then call in Pam Bondi in to testify about the files on her desk and then the files that never were, and now this.

    AOC: Wow, yes, I agree.

    Raskin: Absolutely.

Massie: Rep. Green, you have the committe chair here.

    Mike Johnson: Time for recess.

  13. Oh man, a LOT of Republicans were going to flip. This is Trump trying to save face and pretend like the party isn’t splitting from him.

Omg how are there no photos or videos. That’s how he goes down! Not words in emails, his followers can’t read!!

  15. Everyone is dooming, but be realistic, do people ACTUALLY think there won’t be leaks if it’s redacted? Courts have copies, hell people involved probably have copies on all sides to take everyone down with them, This looks to me he’s trying to save face, and has a flight to Russia/Argentina lined up soon, not to mention victims WILL speak out.

  16. He knows because Bondi opened a investigation they can just refuse to release the files claiming a ongoing investigation.

  17. I suspect that even if they delete some of the material, foreign intelligence probably already has their own copy and are largely incentivized to want to help Congress get rid of the guy who has been a wildly unreliable leader.
