  1. It’s hard to imagine a scenario, after the current regime is long gone, and we have semi-competent governance again, where the CDC regains the trust it has shed since January. The standing of an institution, and the value people place on its recommendations is built over decades, but trashed in short order as we’ve seen. Once gone, restoring that trust happens only in the very long term, if ever. What a loss.

FFS, the notion that vaccines cause autism was started by a British doctor named Andrew Wakefield who accepted money from lawyers preparing a lawsuit against MMR manufacturers to make this claim without evidence.

The “theory” was debunked 30 years ago by science and Wakefield was stripped permanently of his medical licence.

That we’re even talking about this today is fucking ridiculous, and it’s even more ridiculous that the CDC under Kennedy is still promoting the idea.

  3. The CDC will get to work on correcting this mistake immediately, they just need the names of those anonymous employees.

This is embarrassing. CDC should be focused on promoting vaccine safety not spreading misinformation

  5. “The claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”

RFK: We may not have proven vaccines cause autism…but you still haven’t proved that vaccines DONT cause autism!

  6. Every single cabinet/department now is opposite of what it is supposed to do. All these departments are there to protect, serve and make people’s lives better – now they are for profits and insane gumptions of those leading them. Remind yourself daily that the upper ups do not think of anyone not on their level is sub-human – they do not care if you live or die because it means more for them.

I’m gonna only trust international studies from now on. I used to fact check and research using the cdc. Not any more.

Great article. The CDC isn’t dead, it has been kidnapped, and the staff are all either trying to survive and keep living under austere conditions or escape.
