    Her seat is pretty secure.

    I mean she fucking won it with 65% of the voting share. I don’t think the Republicans should be too worried.

    More proof that NYT writing is mostly dumb uninformed stuff pumped out by Manhattan apartment dwellers living in a world very different than most of America.

  3. Some might think her resignation doesn’t matter given she represents a safe R seat, but it’s gonna be one less GOP vote in the House for months until her seat is filled by special election.

    It’s a big deal given that the “Big Beautiful Bill” only passed by a single vote in the House. It’s a huge headache for Mike Johnson, which I think is honestly part of the reason MTG is resigning, given how much she hates that man.

    Irony is a conservative waiting to resign until the day after her pension kicks in so she can collect a government handout for the rest of her life.

  5. She is leaving 2 days after her pension is 100% vested. Seems like a pretty calculated move to me.
