Some might think her resignation doesn’t matter given she represents a safe R seat, but it’s gonna be one less GOP vote in the House for months until her seat is filled by special election.
It’s a big deal given that the “Big Beautiful Bill” only passed by a single vote in the House. It’s a huge headache for Mike Johnson, which I think is honestly part of the reason MTG is resigning, given how much she hates that man.
