Click farms/content farms are real, they don’t cost much because they are often based in an area where wages are minuscule. Plus bots. Between the two you can generate an “army” of trolls very easily.

Maybe Reddit should implement a similar feature. A lot of the same bots seem to roam these threads.

It also seems to report that many of the most visible “Reporting from Gaza” accounts were not from anywhere close. I’d be very interested to know how reliable the new location reporting is.

As a foreigner I see it, the vile propaganda that is manipulating the right wingers in the US, if you take a step back and think about who benefits from what’s being said you realize it’s coming from somewhere else. I was exceptionally angry when I saw US conservative comments about Ukraine…. But then I thought about it and it could only ever have been a Russian bot or regurgitation from a Russian bot especially when it comes from people who can’t think beyond their noses or form a coherent though. But the sad part it Russia seems to have won the cold war after all, I don’t see the US recovering from Russian/Chinese/Israeli interference unless this administration and it’s allies are tried for high treason, Project 2025, the neo oligarchy and the evangelicals will turn the US into something akin to Afghanistan under the Taliban and Russian oligarchy/politics in my opinion while China becomes the new superpower filling the vacuum that the US is leaving internationally.
