And nationally, 75% of detainees have no criminal record. The cost of this program to taxpayers is enormous. And the contractors who built and are running these detention centres profit.

I think it’s pretty obvious by now that the pre-election talk about deporting “criminal” undocumented immigrants was a facade. The goal was always to start getting rid of people who speak Spanish, have brown skin (or otherwise aren’t white), and have a religion other than maga-endorsed Protestantism.

Is there some kind of “No shit” emoticon younger people use for things like this? Seems like it might save some time.

  4. Can these media outlets at least try not to mislead by just saying “immigrants?”

Did they illegally immigrate or not?

    > “70% of illegal aliens ICE arrested across the country have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges just in the U.S.,” McLaughlin wrote in an email.

Aside from the fact that the admin proclaims they are going after illegal immigrants with criminal records, what is the solution for dealing with illegal immigration? Has either political party introduced legislation that creates pathways for people that are currently here to become citizens?

I genuinely don’t understand either party’s actual intent on dealing with this.

Of course they didn’t have a record, they are scared to be voted out for midterms, that’s why they are doing this now so they can deport all democrat minorities to affect the vote count. They know they can’t “rig” it anymore so they are doing the next thing, ship out all democrat voters but mask them as “immigrants” “criminals” “migrants” “offenders” when we all fucking know what’s really happening. Will never forgive all the racist, fascist fucks that put him back in office. Never fucking ever🖕

  6. So much for targeting “the worst of the worst” when 97% had no criminal record. This was always about mass deportation regardless of public safety claims.
