86 Democrats Join GOP in Voting for ‘Very, Very Stupid’ Resolution Condemning Socialism | “House Minority Leader Jeffries voting with the GOP in favor of this resolution is showing his ultrawealthy donors exactly who he fights for,” said one progressive leader. “It’s not the people.”

This vote is nothing but performative and is just wasting time that congress could be doing actual work. The fact that demcrats even considered signing this piece of toilet paper just cements how they need to be ousted from their positions.
I expect that 86 Democrats are getting some fat donor checks right about now.
Primary Jeffries.
And the democrats wonder why nobody trusts them, donates to them (other than aipac and the billionaires), or votes for them. This is why american politics ia taught differently, because there is only a center right and an extreme right here.
Did Jefferies vote for a resolution opposing fascism or corporate greed?
86 people think performative resolutions condemning socialism are the most important thing to be doing while the country slides into fascism.
This is a great list of people not to put back into office.
It was a performative move by the Republicans timed with Mamdani’s visit to the White House. But to see 86 centrist Democrats support this nonsense demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of the threat from the right, the degree to which some are out of touch with the electorate, and their belief in capitulation. Same with the Kirk resolution where even a centrist like Sarah McBride voted in favor, and she’s trans. They’re all meaningless resolutions but it makes many wonder if there is a moral code actually driving these Democrats.
100% Dems have a moment to embrace working class values, and the current leadership is clueless how to do this, or be an effective resistance party. They need to go like, yesterday. Time for folks who have the courage of their convictions, instead of corporate courage.
OWW! The stupid! It burns!
So they basically voted to say they officially don’t like helping people in need.
Damn, sure sucks we aren’t able to do anything productive like lowering insurance rates. Moderate dems wasting everyone’s time as per usual. Someone needs to primary this empty suit.
That’s it. There should be no question that these Dems incl Jeffries need to be voted out.
They want to brand a label to programs, legislation that would help the common person no matter color, sex, background, age, etc.
They’re trying to evoke antiquated feelings towards the word “socialism, much like using “commie,” as a boogeyman.
Establishment Dems are on borrowed time
They voted for this just hours before Mamdani’s meeting with Trump. They’re very out of touch with their own party.
86 Dems vote for right-wing values
Not surprising. I feel like since Clinton, centrist dems are basically liberal republicans.
Progressive dems need to pull the party left. C’mon voters, do your thing and vote these guys out.
Further proof the established democrats don’t care about working class folks, and are too fucking stupid to see the strength of progressive canidates.
What “socialism” are we condemning? Police and fire? Clean water and air? Interstate highways? Public schools? Parks, libraries and museums?
The problem isn’t the politicians. They know better. But if they want to reach out to stupid voters, they have to say stupid things.
Democrats are just shy Republicans.
So, it’s good that they separated themselves out.
Now, they can be primaried.
Let’s remove them all from office and put in politicians who are FOR the people in their place.

Very telling that a Democratic Socialist gets elected mayor of NYC and we immediately get a resolution condemning socialism, but we have open fascists in the White House and we don’t get any resolutions condemning fascism.
Plus, as usual, if their logic towards “the evils of socialism” were applied to American capitalism the death toll would be massive.
Corporate socialism? That’s all we do is bail them out. Helping people? Oh no!
Cool story. Now do a vote condemning fascism
Congress: fights nonstop for years
Also Congress: suddenly agrees on this one thing
Gotta wonder what’s coming next for programs people depend on.
This is how Dems lose in 2026.
“tHe DeMoCrAtS hAvE gOnE tOo FaR lEfT!”
So sick of having 2 right wings parties as our only choice
And yet there are still people on reddit who think democrats are “the left”
I’m sure it’s a coincidence that nearly every single one of those democrats are suckling at the teet of AIPAC https://www.trackaipac.com
This vote is just a signal to donors that they’re for sale.
Neoliberals are not your friends
The Democratic party still doesn’t realize that this kind of thing loses, not gains votes.
Or maybe they don’t care and it’s just to perform for their donors.
We need a new party.
There is only One Party. The Capitalist Party
Guys socialism is bad. What would it do to our country if we gave housing stipends¹ or government-led grocery stores² that ensured a low price? What would happen if we ensured an even pay scale and then added these stipends based on family need³?
¹military members are given housing and if they choose to can move to different housing that is discounted with a stipend
²the commissary is an on-base grocery store that has affordable prices
³military pay is not great but some stipends can be accessed if your family exceeds compensation
In short, socialism looks like the US military.
Streets, schools, fire departments, police departments, socialism is how things are done.
Cool. Every person who signed that needs to be voted out.
Socialism is not bad, nor is it communism and if our elected officials want to pedal this horse shit, then they need to go.
I’ll say it again show me a moderate democrat and I’ll show you a republican. They’re one and the same
The Uniparty at work.
We’ll never get rid of Citizens United as long as both parties are controlled by corporations
The Dems had to sign on because they saw the smear ads coming from a year away if they didn’t.
Fuck the establishment Dems, but this was a blatant move by the fascists to try and push a narrative.
