He thought he was a good business man but now he doesn’t know how to get the country out of the predicament that he put it in

“Turning?” Hilarious that they supported him in the first place. Should be “TURNED!” Or just plain “never supported this racist asshole.”

The Trump campaign worked hard to distance themselves from Project 2025, promised a great deal about economics, and even made “mass deportations” sound like a reasonable decision that would be conducted humanely, targeting criminals, and those Haitians eating cats and dogs in Springfield weren’t Latino or Hispanic. Enough Latino and Hispanic voters think the system is unfair, so sure, why not?!

So people are getting a good look at white supremacy, at Christian nationalism, at targeting people based on skin color, at the inhumanity of ICE arrests, detentions, and deportations, and not a God damn thing is cheaper. It’s frustrating when you saw the con and people didn’t. The desire for a “I told you so” FAFO response is real. Don’t go there. That more people are figuring this out is a good thing and I’m happy to see it. Let’s use that for the good.

the fact that they were ever pro trump really speaks to the stupidity of humanity and effectiveness of brainwashing by the media

  5. Many latinos in 2024: “Immigration isn’t the only thing we care about”

White liberals in 2025: “We have asshole family members and acquaintances and we know what they mean. The immigration argument has always been a proxy for whether you belong here or not at all”

No faith in ANYONE that voted for Trump (because they likely did it THREE times). So they are mad now and that will gain democrats a few senate seats? Maybe a few house seats. Then in 2028 its back to them voting for a Pubs Trump-Lite candidate.

  7. The fact any Latino would vote for Trump or republicans is shocking to me. The sad thing is that while GOP won’t have nearly the Hispanic vote they got during Trump’s presidential election. They will still get ~20% which is still insane.

It’s like a transperson caucusing for Republicans or a black person that’s apart of the KKK. It’s beyond fathomable as to how Latinos can see the blatant racism and barbarism used on Hispanics immigrants and citizens and say… ya but Republicans really hate gay people so I’m with them!

  8. Unfortunately the propaganda from online bots really ramps up like 2 months before an election. Wouldn’t be surprised if all the support swung back. All the gop needs is another distraction

  9. Probably because they were promised it would only affect criminals but it immediately became open season on all of them.

Like anybody who votes for a conservative, empathy doesn’t kick in until it happens to them or to somebody they care about. Until then it’s other people and they don’t matter.

Who cares? They’ll come right back as soon as he virtue signals to the craven amongst them. No way that the ones who voted for him got “tricked” in any sense of the word.

  11. Maybe they realized that getting between a woman and her doctor to interfere with medical decisions that are none of their damned business, or their general distaste for a woman in power, isn’t worth getting their entire family deported to an el Salvador concentration camp after all!!

They’ll be back in another two years. Come on, the signals could not possibly have been more clear unless Trump donned a sombrero and pointed menacingly at a piñata with the sign “you’re next” stapled to it.

  13. Imagine being a non-white person and voting for an open racist (against all non-whites), then having to learn that they hate you and it still takes a year for you to realize you shouldn’t have voted for this guy.

Weird….after mass deportations and scapegoat attempts you’d think they would still love MAGA 😲

  15. Antique_Basil_4641 on

They should’ve turned on him from day one. None of this is a surprise; every single one of these intentions well communicated in advance as part of the election. Attacking your own self interests is wild to me.

  16. It would have been great if they exercised some foresight and avoided this unforced error entirely.

  17. Eh, I’ll wait and see..

US electoral system is so fucked with gerrymandering that basically all national level polls are worthless.

  18. Eating the dogs. Concepts of a plan. You said no fact checking. We have done nothing to earn America’s trust.

How did none of this tank them?

  19. They were all highly duped into voting for him in 2024 to begin with. Along with a combination showing growing evidence that Elon rigged some of our elections, but I’m not going to heavily invest in that theory until we see some proper presentations.

  20. Ehh not any of the Latinos I know (mostly Puerto Ricans, some Mexicans, and some Cubans). They haven’t changed their stance whatsoever. They also all hate each other and probably shouldn’t be grouped together, but polls keep ignoring that and then everyone acts all shocked pikachu after the votes come in.

  21. And anyone that doesn’t turn on him? Assholes and racists. Everyone that’s a terrible person will continue to support him in all his demented glory. You go dickwads. No excuses none. There isn’t one single thing he’s done for the betterment of our country.

  22. This sub should ban any post with the headline including the word “bombshell.”

    Kidding, mostly.

  23. Yeah, they were turning on Ted Cruz twice and see how that turned out.

Don’t get your hopes up until you actually see seats changing across the country.

  24. Republicans literally sent their dogs after our families and neighbors and service workers. Think they are gonna get our votes now? LOL

  25. attributeslider8899 on

If they saw a woman candidate I’d bet they’d vote for the leopard again. Not going to ever forget the reason why they chose to vote against their own most interests.
