There is no reason for the autopen excuse. If Biden signed an executive order saying that tangerines are now vegetables, Trump can sign one saying they are fruit again. You don’t need any excuse, just do a new one.
So his use of this autopen bullshit is either blithering idiocy, or trying to set some kind of precedent. Next, he might say whichever laws he doesn’t like were signed by autopen and declare them rescinded. He might claim John Hancock used autopen in 1776, who the hell knows.

Trump wiping out Biden’s executive orders sounds flashy, but it’s not that simple. Legal experts point out he can’t just erase them without consequences. We want stability and predictable rules, not political showmanship which is what he knows how to do best.
