Of the $1.1 million his hotels and country clubs have collected from Republican candidates and committees this year, 80% is from entities Trump controls.

WASHINGTON – Even as he leverages his presidency to make himself millions, perhaps even billions of dollars, Donald Trump is also funneling Republican donor money into his own cash registers through the political committees he controls.

In the 10 months since he retook office, the Republican National Committee has spent at least $796,513 at Trump’s hotels and country clubs, while MAGA Inc., Trump’s super PAC, has spent $60,733, according to a HuffPost analysis of Federal Election Commission data.

The figures are based on filings to date, with some committees providing updates only twice a year. The total number for 2025 will not be disclosed until the end of January 2026.

The combined $857,246 represents just under four-fifths of the $1.1 million that the Republican candidate and committees spent at his properties.

The RNC, for example, spent $193,145.70 on March 5 to hold an event at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s country club and residence in Palm Beach, Florida. Two months later, on May 2, the committee spent $307,202.49 for an event at his golf resort in Doral, near Miami’s airport.

Really hope this post isn’t removed for being off topic. Political corruption is relevant to a politics sub.

  3. Add to that the millions he’s charged the government for his golf trips and the millions he’ll charge for use of Trump doral for the G20.

The more Republican money goes to Trump, the less available for the other Republicans, which seems like a good thing overall. They deserve the corruption they permit anyway.

It’s alarming to read that so much of the money raised via Trump’s political donations ends up benefiting his own businesses. If a campaign funnels donor funds into the candidate’s private properties rather than using them to support civic or electoral activities, that undermines the idea of transparency and shared civic responsibility. This looks less like grassroots fundraising and more like selfenrichment under the guise of political support. It raises serious questions about fairness and whether the interests of donors or the public are really being served.

  6. The fact that an 80 year old man, reportedly a billionaire, still needs MORE money, tells you all you need to know about his character

  7. MAGA love having their buttholes gaped by this pedophile pants shitter, they’ll gladly pay for him and his family to do it for generations.

I don’t understand running up the fiscal score like this.

What do billionaires gain by sucking up more and more wealth at the expense of others?

Isn’t there a point where enough is enough, and your needs are met for life?
