  1. They won the election. Now they want to get the senile old man out of the chair along with his merry band of dipshits and replace them with Vance and other “normal” republicans – whatever that is anymore. People who are shitstains but not entirely incompetent.

  2. The problem with hiring a cadre of unscrupulous, self-serving people is that, when the chips are down, no one will take the fall. And when you’re forced to put the blame on one of them, they will threaten to blow some serious whistles that they’ve kept hidden.

But what can he do? It’s not like there were a whole line-up of qualified, serious patriots waiting to work in the Donald Trump Admin.

    >“Obviously, if it can be substantiated by facts, it’s a violation of both ethical and possibly legal requirements,” Tillis said. “If it is substantiated, whoever made that order needs to get the hell out of Washington.”

I mean, preferably criminally charged in addition, along with anyone else involved, but that might be asking for a lot with this admin…

    >Senator Lindsey Graham said that he was still working out “the facts” but suggested that the attack could have run afoul of the law. “It’s a long-held rule that survivors of the ship attack are no longer combatants, and an air crew member in a parachute is no longer a combatant. You’re out of the fight,” Graham told CNN. “I don’t know what the facts are, but that’s general law. We’ll see what the facts are.”

That rule sounds completely sane, in-context. Once a (supposed) combatant is thoroughly disarmed and without defense, they’re no longer a (practical) threat to you, so at that point, if you believe they are some kind of criminal, you arrest and prosecute using the boring non-violent no-exploding-boats method.

  4. So, my bet is that they’ll fold when it actually comes down to it.

    But!

I doubt it’ll ever get to a point of “comes down to it.”

They can’t risk trump’s ire, and the possible domino effect if they go after Hegseth.

So Trump finally found a way to get his presence in the Epstein files out of the headlines. Just kill a few people. Actually more than a few, over 80 so far.

The video might be Navy Seals approaching the blown up boat and shooting the injured civilians.

I’m starting to think filling the cabinet with tv show hosts, podcasters, and the Real Housewives of Mar-A-Lago wasn’t such a great idea

  9. What I predict this is really all about (and I know this is going to sound crazy) is that they are using these strikes to normalize killing drug traffickers. They will eventually move this to targeting “Drug traffickers” here in the US and will begin to kill people they deem as such, most likely political opponents. This happened under Rodrigo Duterte in the Philippines.

  10. Let’s start this with the premise that, when not at war, it is *illegal* to just kill people. Even if you suspect them of committing crimes.

Before we move off that to discuss whether it’s legal to kill two unarmed survivors of your initial attack who had the audacity to survive.

Why are we not disabling these boats with precision fire, then inspecting them. Pretty sure a navy destroyer can do that.

  11. “… slowly losing support”??? And why isn’t Trump QUICKLY losing support of Republicans in Congress? FFS, enough already.

  12. By the time this is over, you’re gonna see a video of a US Navy sailor pushing someone under the water with a broomstick.

Think they’re just delighted no one is talking about Epstein anymore.. It’s like everything this admin says or does is to move on from the prevcious thing this admin said or does.
