For his ego, they’re removing two federal holidays celebrating the black community. But, in a practical sense, many people are off on a federal holiday, able to visit a park as a result, and unless we’re just going to declare Trump’s birthday a federal holiday, well….. OK. I see where this is going.
Cool, great, now do my birthday…same free park access, but instead of erasing Black history we throw in voting rights protections, paid parental leave, and functioning brakes on fascism.
He is such a vile man and so are those who support his actions.
I agree that Trump’s birthday should become a sort of annual folk holiday. Something like Britian’s Bonfire Night, or Walpurgisnacht.
