  1. Once again perpetuating the lie that opposition to Israeli government policies is antisemitism.

It’s like saying it was antisemitism to prosecute Meyer Lansky.

Using executive power to police political or economic expression is a slippery slope. How does this hold up under constitutional scrutiny?

Honestly it just feels like a trap for Mamdani so he’ll have to rescind it and they can generate some headlines about how much he hates jews

“I wanted to come back here to Israel and let you know that I served you as the mayor.” – Eric Adams

MAGA and the GOP never cared about Israel, which is what makes this so frustrating. They use Israel as a tool to gin up false accusations about the left. It’s so shameful and disingenuous.

God these politicians are absolutely drunk with power and depravity.

How anyone can see the clusterfuck that is state doj and think “yes, let’s add more regulation to the stuff that is already impossible to regulate” is a mystery.

He’s simply saying he wants every penny and every activity monitored and regulated so then the law enforcement can selectively enforce the stuff they agree with and claim staffing issues prevent them from regulation everything else

  8. Wow… if I didn’t know better I’d think he was ~trying~ to be charged by the ICJ for assisting war criminals. So, Genocide Jeffries joins the Clintons in the club of supporters of -according to the ICJ- apartheid, and genocide being carried out by Israel.

Recognising Israel as an apartheid state which is committing genocide, in line with Israeli scholars, Israeli rights groups, and the UN, is not antisemitic.

Israel is run by convicted terrorists, self proclaimed fascists, and a man wanted by the International Criminal Court.

Recognising zionism as an ethno-supremacist, European born, settler colonial project, designed to displace and replace indigenous and native Palestinians, is not antisemitic.

  9. Mamdani can simply cancel any executive order. Adams is incredibly corrupt and was caught accepting bribes so anything he does for Israel doesn’t redeem him. It only proves how lobbyists control America.

  10. You have freedom of speech. Money is speech, according to the Supreme Court. Thus, this order is an infringement on your rights and will likely be struck down.

  11. If anyone writes any kind of bill endorsing or divorcing (is that the opposite?) basically any other country in manners like this, they lose my vote. This isn’t a matter on international policy, so keep it out.

This is a joke and just shows who controls who

So… selling shares of an Israeli company is illegal?  Wouldn’t that cause the value to plummet anyway since it’s impossible to profit from investments?

  13. I mean the fact Mamdani is Muslim is *already* going to be used to paint him as anti-Semitic, might as well reverse this and any other bs and ignore the bad press that they’re going to write regardless.

  14. How does he have any power like that? Can I sign an executive order saying Elon Musk must give me 100 million dollars?

  15. We live in a world where you are required BY LAW to support financially the genocidal state of Israel. What a dystopia.

  16. So the investment advisors are not allowed to follow their best, data-supported judgment if it involves disinvesting from Israel? What kind of strategy is that?

If only the media would cover this honestly. “Mayor Adams violates constitution, hands his balls to Netanyahu”

Nothing says free market quite like legal penalties for not engaging in commerce with a foreign nation.
