  1. I am *sure* another round of tax cut for billionaires should solve the affordability crisis. Just a little more trickle down should fix it.

  2. When will they stop this blame game and actually come up with some workable plan to fix all that they have destroyed?

It couldn’t be late stage capitalism and an oligarchy. Definitely not. They’d totally trickle down on us to f the media would get out of the way.

    Maybe they’re just pee shy.

Having an index finger for pointing blame is the only job qualification trump and his cabinet secretaries have.

  5. Hey MAGA,

Trump and his Treasury Dept just changed tax rules for corporations, allowing wealthy investors and executives to pocket hundreds of billions of dollars.

What did you get? Oh yeah, they upped your place in line at the food bank.

LOL. Fucken’ Chumps. Wall Street Republikans are just laughing their asses off at you!

  6. YgramulTheMany on

It’s not just Trump himself. His entire administration wants us to believe this economy is just gangbusters right now.

  7. Well, he’s half-right, in the sense that affordability was *rapidly improving* under Biden’s direction, and yet huge swaths of the “liberal” media endlessly blamed and attacked Biden, and fed right-wing narratives on the “disaster” of the economy (that Trump created in his first term) which helped ensure we got a second Trump term.

Because let us be very clear about one thing. I have *many* disagreements with Joe Biden’s policy. But what his administration did in four years to turn the economy around is, in fact, a modern miracle. Yes, his handling of the Palestinian genocide was abhorrent, yes I do believe he could have done much more to safeguard democracy and bring Trump and his insurrectionists to justice.

But on the economy, he and his administration worked a miracle.

And he received endless, *endless* shit from rich fucks who move the media like a puppet and did not like people in his administration like Lina Khan who were actually holding rich fucks and corporations accountable for crimes and reigning them back in.

So in a very real way, the liberal media, if not created, absolutely helped manufacture the affordability crisis in America by attacking the one person *fixing* the crisis, and helping ensure we reelected a pants-shitting halfwit who would collapse it, AGAIN.

And Bessent is half-wrong, in the sense that Trump took a healing economy, doused in gasoline and lit it the fuck on fire because he’s a fucking idiot.

Didn’t Trump campaign on lowering prices? After he learned the word “groceries”?

  9. The GOP as “party of personal responsibility” has always been a myth – at least in my lifetime.

Can you imagine getting home from the grocery store, flipping on the TV, seeing this, and saying “Amen!”? The mental gymnastics of people who buy this bullshit is terrifyingly impressive.

  11. Seems clear. The wealthy elite would rather poor people just die off already than pay a small percentage more in taxes

he won’t even admit that tariffs are inflationary and paid with a premium by consumers. He’s an unqualified 🤡 printing money for his cronies at the expense of citizens. these people are thieves.

Bissent is a fountain of Trump talking points.

I guess people would not have noticed prices are higher if news had not told them.
