  1. **From Hayes Brown, MS NOW opinion writer/editor:**

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., is likely hoping that this week goes better for him than last week, when one of the senior leaders in his caucus called him a “political novice” and some of the usual suspects among the GOP’s far-right caucus mounted a brief insurrection. But with a major vote coming up that nobody in the House seems thrilled about, or prepared for, the speaker doesn’t have much reason to be hopeful of even clearing that low of a bar.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, who is running for governor of New York, has become the figurehead of a growing frustration with Johnson’s speakership — despite being a member of the caucus’ senior leadership. “He certainly wouldn’t have the votes to be speaker if there was a roll-call vote tomorrow,” Stefanik told The Wall Street Journal on Dec. 2. “I believe that the majority of Republicans would vote for new leadership. It’s that widespread.”

Yay! Can we go through another 30 rounds of “Republicans trying – and spectacularly failing – to elect a Speaker”? It just got funnier and more pathetic with every attempt. Although I did feel sorry for those two House clerks who had to call the roll every time.

She’s been upset with him since she lost ambassadorship. I don’t know if she’ll be able to pull it off but I’d love to watch her try.

    Of course she is.

Elise Stefanik was Donald TrumPedos pick to be the UN Ambassador.

Her nomination was pulled after Pedophile Protector Johnson convinced Trump not to nominate her because he was worried Republicans couldn’t win the special election in her Trump +20 district (and this was mere weeks after that election).

Shes basically been forced to run for any higher office available to save face after getting humiliated like that, and shes not going to win.

So of course she’d trash the guy responsible….

Stefanik is a fucking ghoul too. The enemy of my enemy is a fucking asshole in this case, she deserves no credit or support for her actions.

  6. For “underperforming” the GOP seems to have a firm grasp of overachieving the Heritage Foundations shredding of the Constitution and pretty much gutting any and all aspects of the Bill of Rights.

  7. I mean when you hire people who are loyal instead of competent, this is what you get. It’s pretty systemic.

She’s just sad she can’t get with him because of his purity pledge. Word is she’s pining HARD

  9. Y’all can hear Elise Stefanik? She’s been so far up Trumps ass since 2016 that her own district can’t hear the shit she spews

  10. I mean, I’m not saying I’ll be thrilled if the house gets stuck without a speaker because they can’t find another milquetoast halfwit that doesn’t overly offend anyone willing to take the job, but it’ll be kinda funny to watch them try and navigate this shit show a third time.

  11. For a guy who has more than once spoken, and then had to come out the next day and say “I misspoke”, when your fucking job is literally Speaker (“Trump was an FBI informant”) you should have been let go on the spot

Pilots, nurses, engineers, drivers, hell tourist guides all lose their jobs if they seriously fuck up the only thing they’re employed to do.

Yet this guy comes along, day in day out, lies, equivocates, obfuscates, panders, squirms and sneers, all in a veneer of sanctimonious hypocrisy and gets a free pass to the next press junket. He’s tanked his own speakership and if there wasn’t an actual market for embarrassingly servile bootlickers willing to grovel for attention, he would never work again

She is fairly despicable and demagogic herself. Hasn’t hit Johnson’s level yet but stay tuned.
