  1. In fairness, Pelosi was the most effective Speaker full stop in generations.

    But Johnson certainly sucks.

  2. Mike Johnson has got to the most boring wishy washy politician in Congress right now. Whenever he is interviewed he acts surprised someone is asking is talking to him. He repeats the question like a freshman stall trick. Mike Johnson is Clumsy Smurf cosplaying house speaker.

You can tell the gays hate her because who would let her out of the house looking like that?

  4. I mean, she’s not wrong.

For all the hate Nancy Pelosi gets, we never once had a shutdown start while she was House Speaker. Boehner, Ryan, and Johnson all had at least 1, while McCarthy was ousted by his own party before he even finished a single term.

  5. I don’t agree.

Mike Johnsons agenda has been to destroy America as it was, and he has succeeded beyond my wildest imagination.

“Shreds” stfu or read the article. She also said he was a better speaker than McCarthy.

Honestly. I disagree entirely. And I’m upset as fuck about it. If their goal was to take us back then Mike johnson has taken us further back ie to a monarchy then ever before, in that respect, he’s probably the most effective, if that’s the goal.

Get your popcorn ready, the shows about to begin. Keep your eyes on your tv’s as the Republicans form a circle and prepare for the circular firing squad. MTG, Bobbit and now Mase are turning against Johnson and Trump. Also, take into account the number of congress people retiring or not running again next year. This is going to be fun to watch as it implodes, but unfortunately they’re going to cover all of us in there shit.

  9. Part of the last statement she made in the article, ‘We can restore regular order, empower members to legislate and deliver on our promises.’ Just another repugnant admitting that they are following the 2025 Reich Agenda.

    >‘Nancy Pelosi was a more effective House Speaker than any Republican this century’

She is quite correct. That is why they hate Pelosi so much.

Considering that even many of us consider Nancy Pelosi rather corrupt and likely guilty of insider trading gets this positive comment from Nancy Mace. Pretty wild.

“When Democrats hold the majority, they ram through the most progressive policies they can. They deliver for the coalition that elected them while they are in power. Republicans do the opposite.” – Nancy Mace

It’s a great campaign ad if Dems have the guts to use it. The GOP knows that they’re fucked when midterms come. Democrats need to meet the moment and push turnout as much as humanly possible.

  13. Her op-ed is absolutely spot on. Not just for the clickbait headline, her comments on Johnson make up a sentence or two, but on the absolute partisan leadership problem we have had over the past decade from both parties.

A very small handful of congressmen control their entire coalitions and prevent anything meaningful from reaching the floor. Legislation like she mentions on stock trading would receive a supermajority but is held back by leaders in both party.

It’s not about buying a congressman like every neckbeard Redditor thinks, it’s about controlling what even makes it to the floor to vote on and what the contents of that is.

The reality is what she says, a small number of congressmen draft the legislation and decide if it gets a vote: everyone else gets told to fall in line. Legislation that gets drafted and brought to the caucus by one committee was likely actually drafted by a congressman(‘s office and lobbyists) completely unrelated to that committee. We’ve seen that time and time again.

No one’s amendments see the light of day.

Democracy is failing from a system of career political oligarchs.

Nancy Pelosi was the most effective Speaker in history, let alone among shitpublicans *this century.*

Despite following politics, I learn everyday. I have no idea who this Nancy Mace is but what I CAN tell you is THIS: I’m in total agreement with her comment about PELOSI. Mike Johnson has trans literally tied himself to a burning stake (of lies) that is burning him and America down. The Speakers’ job is to see that EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN is represented by the person THEY elected, and insure laws are thoughtfully written, that will meet America’s’ needs. Speaker Johnson, willingly ignores his duty and has made himself a Vassal to the WORST POSSIBLE PRESIDENT to sully the White House with his garbaged administration.
