  1. Yeah, that’s right. Anyone paying attention to
    SCOTUS??
    >> Does POTUS Trump have the authority to
fire the heads of independent agencies??

  2. Which is exactly what “they” want so they can rubber stamp policies in Trump’s name with an autopen and it cannot be challenged.

  3. “It is well settled that once there is a pardon, no one — not any president or Congress or the courts — can undo it,”

We will need a way to undo Trump’s pardons. He will just pardon every MAGA person, everyone in ICE/DHS, anyone committing a crime that has paid him.

  5. It doesnt matter hes above the law so he will just do it and then letbthe rest of us sort the rest out

  6. I have a feeling Trump is going to abuse the pardon power so much that it will be overhauled with a constitutional amendment.

On his way out of office, assuming age and ill health don’t catch up with him first, he is going to pardon everyone in his administration, down to the masked ice fuckwits stomping around the suburbs detaining anyone with an accent and a tan.

I don’t know how the pardon power will be reigned in. Will there be an independent commission that has to approve certain pardons such as government officials or even to determine conflicts of interests?

Won’t be the only constitutional amendment. We’ll need one to do away with the current Supreme Court’s immunity rulings, too. Shouldn’t be that hard to pass once Trump is gone. Just scare the republicans with fantasies of a dirty dem abusing his power.

Same with much stricter anticorruption protections. Everyone knows how easy it is to buy Trump. It’s why FIFA gave him a made up peace prize. We can’t have a president who can be bought with baubles.

A drug lord also legally lacks the authority to run a neighborhood as their fiefdom, but that doesn’t change the fact that they do.

Trump can do whatever he wants so long as nobody stops him. He did a goddamned COUP for gods sake, and nothing came of it.

  8. And if he manages to do it anyways
Then the next democrat president should undo all of his, since he holds the record for most

It would be crazy for Trump to set precedent that pardons can be undone given all the questionable pardon’s he’s done.

I can’t imagine any of the many people who bribed him for their pardons would be happy about that either.

The pardon power really should be fixed, but not like this.

  10. Besides which, that blade could cut both ways. The next President could cancel Trump pardons just because.

  11. Trump spoken like a king and unitedstates have already obey. So, why for this should be different?
