Plenty of American citizens would say it’s a great place to visit too. So much to do and see.

Americans are so proud that they really don’t understand how the rest of the world sees us. A lot of Americans seem to operate under the false notion that what goes on in the cities doesn’t really count, as they aren’t the “real America,” or that the shootings are bad but the likelihood of being personally shot is low, so it doesn’t really count either…
They don’t get that that’s not how the rest of the world sees it. Which is funny because a lot of Americans will see one thing on TV and think the entire rest of the world lives in huts or in squander compared to us…

I live here in the US, so non-issue. But I admit if I was from elsewhere, I’d avoid traveling to the US now on a foreign passport…just not worth the aggravation.

I’ve been in the US for 20 years, naturalized for the last 4. I fucking hate what the country has become and deeply regret starting the naturalization process and forever carrying the stench of the US government on my person wherever I go for the rest of my life.

Sounds like there are some serious frustrations with visiting the US. Traveling should feel exciting, not stressful.

Lol, based on that pic, probs not the best day to ask if America’s open for tourism. 😅 Customs looking like a Black Friday line but no discounts at the end, just a stamp.

I visited twice in the 90s and loved the country and the people I met.
No way in hell would I visit now unfortunately.

As a Canadian, who has to go to the US for work events, etc….how does this impact me?
Flying out of Toronto, customs always happens on my side of the border.

I recently had an awkward conversation with my boss saying that I would not go to the DC-based event they wanted me to travel to because there is a near 100% I would be denied entry, and possibly be detained. I am from the UK.
Fuck America.

I will definitely not be visiting the US until Trump is long gone. I have been very outspoken about Trump and his policies. It’s clear that having ‘anti-US sentiments’ is another way of saying ‘anti-Trump sentiments’.

American here. Please avoid if at all possible while this regime is still in charge. They cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

I’m American and live in London now. I have to travel to DC for work next month and I am dreading it. I don’t want to go “home” anymore.

Absolutely do not trust to visit the US as long as the current version of the Republican party is in power. Theatrical displays of cruelty at your expense is now their ideology.

There are many other places where the chances of being abducted or shot for no reason is not zero.

I visited in 2018. I had a good time and met nice people. But I won’t be going back until Maga is gone.
It’s just not safe.

I am a citizen living abroad and I am always scared of going home. Last time I went was in September and it was a non-issue, but there is no telling what will change.

American here. For those that have an opportunity to get out, take it as soon as you can and don’t look back. For those of us that are stuck here, there’s really no hope and this will only get worse. I wish I could leave.

As a Canadian, Trump has done very longterm damage to our relationship and it’s going to be a very long time before I ever go back. I’m talking at least three election cycles without on the ballot.
Do better, America.

I mean, they want to take DNA from visitors. Stay away and have nothing to do with that. They’ll feed it into the Palantir database.
