Donald Trump calls reporter “dramatic” for saying Americans will suffer if health care prices rise. The president continued to ramble about his dream to give people money to “buy their own health care” but shared no short term plan for rising costs.

  1. This is coming from the same senile old man who dramatically is still trying to claim that a sitting congresswoman married her brother to get into the United States?

The same guy who was dramatically trying to say that Obama wasn’t born in the United States throughout his entire presidency?

  2. Calling it “dramatic” doesn’t change reality. Rising health care costs already hurt millions, and hand-waving it away without a plan isn’t leadership its avoidance.

    “The president continued to ramble…”

It doesn’t matter what follows this sentence. At this point, it applies to literally every situation in which Trump speaks. For four years, I listened to the magaverse snivel and whine about Biden’s senility. Now, when it’s so obvious that Trump’s brain has turned into moldy cheese and he does nothing but rant on “Truth” Social and in all of his interviews, I would gladly trade for Biden’s senility any day of the week. At least he had competent people working for him.

The short term plan should be to repeal the ACA insurance regs that caused costs for many to spiral. It’s not complicated

For every half sapient piece of warm dog shit who still supports him, FUCK you all, Hilary was too nice when she called you a deplorable.

  6. Americans’ suffering because of the Republicans’ refusal to give us affordable health care isn’t dramatic: it’s tragic.

MAGA will all die without healthcare waiting for Trump to send them money that will never come to pay for their healthcare.

“Dramatic” yet that same pig of a president was painting the rise of gas and groceries during the Biden administration as some malicious and intentional attack by Dems and the left.

  9. Sure he will give you a thousand dollars to cover all your Cancer treatments and rfk will say your cured.

  11. Anyone who thinks leaving individual consumers to negotiate health care costs and shop around for the right coverage is a complete fucking moron. These are the same boomers that are writing checks to people posing as celebrities on social media thinking theyre real.

In my career, I was always self-employed, which meant I was responsible for my healthcare. It rose dramatically before ACA. ACA was a godsend. I had created a decent job for myself that getting health insurance was getting expensive. I’m over 65 now so I have Medicare however my wife is younger and with the facing death of ACA now I’ll remain out of the country. Our healthcare is rated much higher than the United States healthcare is anyway, so we’ll stay here.

  13. Ah yes, the classic ‘ignore the problem and insult the messenger’ approach. Didn’t know being dramatic was now a crime for stating facts.

But he HAS a replacement plan. He said so in his first term. He wouldn’t keep lying for 10 years would he?!

/s for those dolts who don’t understand

Donald Trump’s suffering from mid-stage dementia moving into later stage. Taking anything he says as anything but the dementia talking is stupid.

Now that the government shutdown fiasco is behind them, Republicans will just continue lying about their commitment to a “better” healthcare plan, or instead of universal healthcare, the GOP will push for universally privatizing health care.

Despite what Republicans might argue about “trusting the market,” this will only lead to things like more profit seeking and denied claims, skyrocketing premiums and healthcare costs, unequal access to services and *less* accessibility to care for low-income individuals and families, hospital shutdowns, and among other things, a lot more dead poor people.

Not to mention how this will also translate into lax regulations and lack of oversight, transparency and accountability, and of course made possible by more discreet lobbying, the lining of pockets and a growing number of conflicts of interest.

I’m also still waiting for the Trump healthcare plan that was promised in two weeks from now… Eight years ago

There’s no “plan.” There’s not even a “concept of a plan.” Instead, we’re getting empty promises and political charades from an administration and Republican party that’s trying desperately to divert attention away from Trump’s utter mishandling of the economy and the consequences of his tariff policies and his big ugly bill.

Trump’s agenda is exploding the national debt and deficit while Republicans are locking in higher healthcare costs and cuts to Medicaid and food assistance that don’t even begin to remotely offset the costs of Trump’s other policies like tax breaks and incentives for the rich/corporations and his excessive spending on national security and military interventionism both at home and abroad.

  17. The same guy who has a consistent eight month bruise from “shaking hands”. They say that like it’s impressive!

That means he’s so frail he bruises from less pressure than a masseuse would use, and I wish a reporter would throw that at the press secretary some time to see her response

  18. He doesn’t want the government to give insurance companies money for health care, but he wants to give it to US so we can give it to the insurance company?

Can we stop electing senile old men? Got to be a 40-50 year old out there with some good ideas.

This idiot has no plans to protect his citizens. He doesn’t care. He keeps getting his cognitive testing and MRIs, and keeps‘acing’ the results. Equally, there’s a reason he keeps having these cognitive tests and MRIs. Somebody within the ranks feels it’s necessary.
He’s wrong and deeply offensive to women, and anyone else that disagrees with him, which is difficult to garner on any given day based on how often he changes his mind. He’s flooding the media and projecting so often that it’s hard to keep up. However, as mindful/discerning members of what we used to call ‘society’, we have to do something to counter this very sick man. If you do nothing else in the next while, look back at how Hitler duped a nation. We are smack down in the middle of the same coercion. Let’s not let history repeat itself. Forewarned is forearmed. Choose your next vote carefully

Because he looks at it as the weak will die off and then it’s less to worry about.

  22. NolanSyKinsley on

The GOP plan is a 1,500$ account per year that you can spend on healthcare. That won’t even cover the cost of a single ER visit.

  23. Cuneus-Maximus on

Yeah because giving people money to pay for healthcare from for profit companies will definitely be cheaper than single payer healthcare.

  24. Open_Mortgage_4645 on

Yeah, individuals trying to negotiate with insurance companies are going to end up with a better deal than the collective pool 🙄 What a fucking joke.

  25. You know… it’s been widely rumored that he is a shitbag of a person and perhaps the worst President of all time..

  26. Maybe he can give us money to fix our own roads and bridges too. I’m sure we will all figure it out and everything will be fine.

  27. Mean-Cheesecake-2635 on

If they just give us money insurance companies will increase premiums by the amount of money the government gives us.
