I don’t see how Congress can really take back War Powers without removing Trump from office – and I don’t see Congress being willing to do that at this point.

It “tries to pull war powers” by a vote that **already failed** on Nov 6? And has nothing at all in the works since then..? Alright article. Keep trying to manufacture a narrative. Congress ain’t doing shit. Congress doesn’t GAF what he does.

Well gee whiz, maybe ceding all congressional power to one man wasn’t such a good idea

This is literally what the constitution intended. War powers were never meant to be a blank check for the executive, especially after decades of”temporary” conflicts that never end.

That’s the funny thing about giving power to a fascist – You don’t get it back.

What Trump is doing is **already illegal**. The US is not being invaded, nor has Congress authorized military force. Without that, airstrikes on boats aren’t even a war crime, they’re just *murder*.

Yeah, there’s one surefire way to take those powers back from him and it starts with an ‘i’ and ends with a ‘t’ and all it requires is for both the House and Senate to find their collective spines and do their fucking job.

They don’t really need war powers, as I understand they have article 2 “loophole”He’s commander in chief and is allowed to direct the military without congress. Isn’t that how it’s done these days

Only solution is impeachment and forcibly removing him (because he prob wouldn’t even leave if impeached and convicted). Republicans in the house and senate could bang that out before Xmas if they wanted.

Better hurry, White House has a pretense of calling Fentanyl a WMD just like they did in Iraq. Are we going to see breaking news with someone broadcasting live as the military moves into Venezuela? RIP David Blume

I don’t think the republicans in Congress realize, that they have handed over their spines to Trumps admin to the fullest extent. Trump and his admin are actively trying, to get the Supreme Court to hand congresses power to the executive. This fascist movement wants Congress abolished, and all of those sycophantic cucks are going to be discarded like the pawns they are.

As it stands right now, Congress exists only for show. If they really want to take any of their power back, they have their work cut out for them. Trump is not just going to hand it back. He has no reason to.
