* This ballroom is vaporware. Every time the cost balloons, it’s just to launder more money into his pocket as “donations” for a thing that won’t get built
* He destroyed the East Wing as a giant fuck you to his wife, the American people who demand he can’t do stuff, and the Obamas (where they signed the ACA, etc.)
The fact that they speedran the destruction without a plan signals to me that there is no effort to actually build this thing; even the rose garden was “completed” as a concrete parking lot in a short time (still mad about that).

Many contractors working on it will get stiffed – getting pennies on the dollar.
Trump will claim it’s ‘his’ building because ‘no tax payer money was used’, and he privately funded it. He will lease it back to US gov, and Trump org will get paid in perpetuity. The legality of this will be challenged up to Supreme Court, where we know what the outcome will be.
I was told this is some ‘fever dream’ I’m having, or I’m living in fantasy land, or whatever, but… tell me this isn’t something Trump would *try*.
