Isn’t this the same slimy schmuck who bitched about a $70 meal at an airport restaurant in his column but didn’t mention his bill included several shots of whiskey until the restaurant staff called him out for it?

Funny how that works! Arrest him too, please.

Release the full and unredacted Epstein files. 119 pages of the grand jury’s testimony was redacted, we are missing files. Files have been kept, files still need to be realeased.

I think his public response essentially boils down to “I was doing research”

**The best thing you coulda done**: Never have associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
**The 2nd best thing you coulda done:** Gotten way out ahead of it and been extremely publicly honest about your relationship with Epstein, with every meeting had with him, what you talked about.
**The 3rd best thing you coulda done:** Shut the fuck up and not said anything about anything.
**Here’s what you did:** Wrote an article downplaying pedophilia among the elites as an issue worthy of attention, mocked those of us who do think this issue is worthy of attention, and then, Shocked Pickachu Face, a picture gets released showing you glad-handling with the guy who pimps children to the elites, and the NY Times has to issue a statement on your behalf after the fact. It didn’t have to go down this way.
Dude is lucky HuffPo is writing this up as “Unfortunate Timing” instead of writing this up the way it actually looks, the way they’d write it up if it were a NY Post columnist rather than a NY Times one.

He was in a photo at a dinner Epstein also went to. Doesn’t really mean anything.

This is complete slime reporting. Brooks went to a Ted Talk in 2011, there was a dinner afterwards with 60 guests, Epstein was one of the guests, they never talked and they are not in a picture together.

He happed to be at an event that Epstein was at. Brooks claimed he has never met, nor ever spoken with Epstein.

refusing to engage with a story, then appearing in its evidence, is the perfect metaphor for how these networks work.

He mentions it here, claiming he was at a separate event that just happened to be next to Epstein himself.
He claims he has no contact with Epstein, he searched his emails and there is zero correspondence.
I am not saying he is or isn’t a good person, but I don’t think a journalist would come on tv and make a statement like this if it was easily refuted.
He certainly shouldn’t have downplayed the Epstein files, it does make him look suspicious, but people need to be asking for the full records not accepting the drips Trumps justice department puts out as the whole truth.
