  1. **Trump Tariffs Making US Businesses Stronger**

Don’t forget Buffalo Trace is essentailly shut down already due to massive flooding and only really conducting tours without a single update since April of 2025.

Suck shit you fucking inbred hicks. I hope your entire Trump voting asses go bankrupt and starve. You were told this would happen, you knew this would happen, you voted for it to happen anyway.

  3. TheorySudden5996 on

Alcohol consumption is way down and continues to fall. The tariffs don’t help either, perfect storm scenario.

  4. >At the same time, exports have been curtailed to major trading partners; Canada has been boycotting American spirits since March in retaliation for President Trump’s ongoing trade war and U.S. whiskey sales to that country are down by more than 60% through October.

Well, well, well. Kentucky. It seems you literally voted to pour your own whiskey down the drain.

Also, you continue to be stubborn and vote against your own state.

What do you say about that Kentucky 7?

But I guess its ok because those filthy Canadians aren’t coming across the boarder any longer.

That is good because now they can’t infect you with their politeness.

  5. As a Canadian I am tempted to smirk a little but can’t because this is a reminder that Trump’s trade insanity is hurting innocent workers on both sides of the border. I take no pleasure in knowing that these distillery workers will lose their jobs, at least for a while, for the same stupid reason that thousands of steel, auto and forestry workers are unemployed in Canada. Trump tariff taxes. The sad thing is that I have serious doubt that the boycott and ensuing layoffs will work because Donald Trump evidently does not give a shit and is too far into his dementia haze to realize he is destroying the United States. It will only get worse in the coming months as the CUSMA (or USMCA) trade agreement comes up for renewal and Trump decides that threatening it will also improve the U.S. economy. It won’t folks.

  6. Karma, karma, karma.

Remember when Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell:

    1. Held up a Supreme Court nominee under a Democratic President and then sped up another one while a Republican was President.

    2. Led Republicans to vote no on impeaching Trump in his first term

    3. Influenced the Citizens United ruling that led to unlimited campaign finance spending

    4. Many more that I can’t remember, but Pepperidge Farm does.

  7. I stopped drinking years ago, for the most part. However, up until this year, I still enjoyed a nice bottle of American whiskey or an Old Fashioned at the bar from time-to-time.

I stopped drinking everything but the occasional Canadian beer this year.

  8. This is a direct outcome of Trump’s tariffs. Of course, Canadians and many Europeans are boycotting American products. We’re being led by an over-primped ostrich. 3 more years of this insanity.

  9. I thought Canadians couldn’t affect anything in the US? I thought they didn’t need us.

    Ah well. Best wishes

  10. Sounds like they got what they voted for. Besides, less toxic poison on the shelves is a good thing.

  11. Not necessarily a huge Jim Beam fan, but I am a Canadian that loves Bourbon and I miss having it in my liquor cabinet. Right now, with the currently political context, I wouldn’t even buy a bottle if it was offered at a 99% discount.

  12. I’m going to need someone to explain to me how this is Biden’s and/or Obama’s fault. Bonus points for additionally laying some blame on the ghost of Jimmy Carter.

  13. Keep on being real, neighbors to the North. We’ve been long overdue for a check and balance from the World.

I never was much of a Beam drinker until I visited their distillery. It’s a beautiful spot with a great tour and visitors center.

    Now I feel so owned.

  15. Title is misleading. They’re renovating the location being shuttered and they’re keeping their 2 other locations open.

When I lived in Cinci, we did lots of shopping in Kentucky bc the Target and Kroger were easy to get to from downtown. I was always like… what the fuck happened? we crossed one river, are two miles away from our home and everyone is a fucking redneck. Kentucky sucks.

Of course, tell us the economy’s booming 🙄 Distilleries shutting down while MAGA cheers culture wars. Real people pay the price, not Trump.

  18. Wonder how Jack Daniel’s in Tennessee is feeling right now? I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re next or soon to follow.
